Changelog

Change Log

  • Fixed bug where turrets would not reload on next server restart.
  • Added very minimal manual control of turrets. If a player "rides" the turret, they will have manual control of when to fire the turret, and the turret's shooting cooldown is cut in half.
  • Added ammo box functionality to turrets.
  • Added a cancel command to stop the current turrets command.
  • Added a reload command to reload just Turrets (sometimes required for proper spawning of turrets for some users).

Notes on how to do things:

Linking chests to turrets

  • The chest must be in the 8-member neighborhood of the turret, on the same y-level as the post of the turret. You make any chest-turret link that follows that rule, and chests can be linked to multiple turrets (like if you had 4 turrets surround one chest, they could all be linked to it, or only 3, or whatever).
  • You then type "/turrets addAmmoBox", click the turret to link, then the chest to link

Removing chest from turret ammo

  • Must be linked to the turret. Type "/turrets removeAmmoBox", click the turret to unlink, then the chest.
  • Note: If you make a linked single chest into a double chest or vice versa, it will automatically updated in the turrets ammo box.

Setting the ammo type of a turret

  • By default, newly created turrets require a linked chest that has ammo in order to fire. To change a turret's ammo type to unlimited (no chest ammo required), type "/turrets setAmmoType unlimited".
  • To change a turret's ammo type to use linked chest ammo, type "/turrets setAmmoType useAmmoBox".
  • Note that turrets with unlimited ammo can still have chests attached to them, they just won't require/use the ammo.

Cancelling a command

  • You can also cancel any of those commands before they are finished (clicking the required blocks) by typing "/turrets cancel"

Reloading Turrets

  • You can also reload the turrets of the server by using "/turrets reload". If turrets aren't spawning right on join/startup for some reason, use this command.
  • Still very alpha/beta-like. Needs testing before you go using it on your important server ;)
