TimeFold
Do you think a day needs to have 48 hours for all your work to do?
You don't want to be interrupted by fading out light and torches don't do the job?
But you also want to go on monster hunting in the night?
TimeFold lets you fold the time the way you want!
Features
- Extend/shorten the length of days/nights to an amount of your choice, even zero
- Longer days | Have always day
- Longer nights | Have always night
- Shorter days/nights
- Inconspicuous time changes
- Multiworld support
- Extremely lightweight
- Detects and adapts to external time changes
- Does not break redstone circuits or plant growing
How it works
The plugin cycles through the set amount of days and after that, through the nights.
As for the days, right before dusk, it will set the time back[1] to morning right after dawn until the specified amount of days is reached. Then the same for the nights. If less than 1 day (e.g. 0.5) is left, the time will be set to about noon (exact time is calculated).
For example, if you set it to world:3:2 it will repeat like this:
Day 1 - Day 2 - Day 3 - (Dusk) - Night 1 - Night 2 - (Dawn)
[1] It does not really set the time back into the past (that would break redstone and growing etc) but instead, it skips the night.
Configuration
Way A) Start the server once to let TimeFold create the settings file itself.
Way B) Create the directory and file yourself ("plugins/TimeFold/TimeFold.settings")
Set it up like this:
[default]:1:1 world:3:2 <worldname>:days:nights
Worldnames are case-sensitive.
If you don't specify a world in the file, its day/night cycle will be [default]. If the default isn't set the time remains untouched and runs like normal.
Commands
/timefold [world] Shows you the current day/night in the cycle
/timefold reload Reloads the TimeFold plugin (Permission timefold.reload required)
/timefold version Prints out the current version

I have this in my config file:
[default]:1:1 world:3:1
but when i type /timefold at night it says "It's night -1 of 1"
@Vinsenseable
I think count right 24H cycle. Try this: Day=89.814, Night=76.98 It equals ≈15H day + 1.5min dusk + ≈9H night + 1.5min dawn. Hope it'll be usefull.
@Vinsenseable
Nevermind. Figured it out.
Do dusk and dawn still have time in them? I am trying to make my server's days operate on a 24-hour cycle, so I set day 32, and night 32 (1440 minutes in a day, 20 minutes in a mc day, 1440/20 = 72/2 = 36).
@BenSenpai
If you want to have days only simply set the nights to 0 (zero).
The number is a multiplier for the length of the night/day; if it is set to 1 it means no changes are made about it. 0.5 would therefore mean the length of the period would be halved and 2 that it's twice as long.
Sorry if it's already been asked but how many days/nights should i set for a 24 hour day(sunrise to sunrise)
@Yoshinat0r
Created a ticket from that in order to keep this more structured. http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/timefold/tickets/4-spammed-by-timechange-detected-message/
When I run this plugin, I get completely spammed by:
2013-01-27 17:09:37 [INFO] [Minecraft.TimeFold] [TimeFold] Detected a timechange by a third party in world "Overworld". Restarting the responsible TimeKeeper.
I get spammed by so many of these, that in about 1 minute the server log file is 1 GB lol
@Sir_Moodz
Yepp, it does. There were no changes required to fit the Bukkit API since then. Take a look at the file description, I added 1.4.7 to the game versions to show it. :)
Does this work for the latest minecraft version? since it hasent been updated since october...
Okay, alright then. However thank you for keeping an eye on this.
@Phoenix_IV
I was looking closer in to the logs. And It wasn't the plugin. Bukkit said in logs. This may be caused by timefold but then when i changed version of bukkit it all stopped. I think it was just because i used a dev build.
@Danteland
That's completely new to me. Are you sure it's TimeFold causing the issue? Do you have an error-report or anything else?
It crashes the server for me like once every 20 hours or so. (not exactly by about that interval)
is this reported bug?
Glad to see this return! :)
Nice to hear :)
Working great so far. It even handles worlds with spaces in the names! *applauds*
So happy this isn't dead! Uploading to my server now, so far no errors. I'll try to give it a test tonight to see how it handles the multiple worlds. I use Multiverse to mange my worlds, and I'll be ecstatic if this works with it!

Thank you for all the former effort in this plugin, Silverstar!
This page is a bit out of date, can you please update it with the latest config?
