We can get it working without perms but not with perms... We are also using PEX 1.7
ok i have this problem. i know what the problem is, i know whats causing it. i even know how to fix it. however, i cant fix it because you haven't told us what characters we can and cannot use in the messeges them selves. i keep getting this messege:
02.01 04:11:08 [Server] INFO ^ 02.01 04:11:08 [Server] INFO - &PINK [SERVER]LISTEN UP! THERE IS A TEAMSPEAK3 ... 02.01 04:11:08 [Server] INFO in "<string>", line 9, column 21: 02.01 04:11:08 [Server] INFO expected <block end>, but found Scalar 02.01 04:11:08 [Server] INFO ^ 02.01 04:11:08 [Server] INFO mode: random 02.01 04:11:08 [Server] INFO in "<string>", line 5, column 5: 02.01 04:11:08 [Server] INFO while parsing a block mapping 02.01 04:11:08 [Server] SEVERE Error occurred while enabling TimedMessages v1.0.0 (Is it up to date?): while parsing a block mapping; expected <block end>, but found Scalar
what the hell is a scalar? what characters can i not use. or better yet what characters can i use?
I'm confused on the permissions side of the TimedMessages.
I set up my messages.yml with 2 timers: default and members.
Default has a timer of 1 minute (using a greylist so players who log in for the first time are annoyed with messages for them to register and apply for membership!)
while Members have a timer of 5 minutes.
All of this is great, but I set the permission nodes as group.default and group.member and added the respective permission nodes as group.member and group.default in my permissions manager (PEX 1.17)
Is there something I'm missing? Because since I've tried using permissions, none of the groups get any messages at all.
@redted44
Put " at the start and end of that message. That should fix it.
For some reason i am getting this http:pastebin.com/7A4Pf11u Please help, i have been trying to fix this for about an hour
@gabizou
It works now. The file was there just accidentally named it TimedMessage.jar instead of TimedMessages.jar.
@The_Wizard
For the time being you have to edit them using messages.yml. However you can reload the configuration in game to avoid having to reload all your plugins once you have finished editing it.
the static link sends me to a 404. Is it still being updated on your website?
Can you add messages in game or you have to edit messages.yml to add the messages?
