TerrainControl is an advanced world generator. Through various configuration files it gives the user control over almost every aspect of Minecraft terrain generation, with no knowledge of Java required. It can be used on Bukkit or Forge servers and on singleplayer with Forge. TerrainControl is the successor to the old PhoenixTerrainMod, which was based on the popular BiomeTerrainMod.

Metrics
As of Terrain Control 2.4.13, the plugin sends some stats to mcstats.org, a service by Hidendra and others. You can view the stats here. Terrain Control won't upload your configs, it will only send your BiomeMode along with some information of your computer. You can toggle it off by setting opt-out
to true
in the metrics config file. More information is available on this wiki page.

How to use
TerrainControl is more complex than most Bukkit plugins, so it may take a while to get into - but the results are worth it. If you want to create your own world, be sure to check our documentation. If you have done some reading and still have problems using TerrainControl, just post to our forums and we'll try to figure it out.

Same here. Doesn't work at all.
Hi,
as TC 1.7.2 is in the home stretch, I implemented all "new" MC 1.7.2 biomes already in my Testworld setup.
I made some adjustments at the height settings to get all new biomes adjusted for use in level 8 (256 height) worlds and made too some adjustments to volatility settings, to get it looking nice.
Here 2 screens (use right-click..."show image" to get full image) of my savanna biomes (all 4 new) as an example (FromImage mode always):
A little future adjustments here and there and use of the next TC dev versions (which will support the default MC trees in the new mojang 1.7.2 biomes), will result in the Testworld No. 58 containing all my biomes and the new one from MC 1.7.2 in one world.
That´s 2 screen of some already implemented new trees in "RoofedForest" and "TaigaM" biome:
Already finished map overview of Testworld No. 58:
@Sheynes
Hi,
thanks.
That`s possible for everybody with a little "twist" at the TC-settings ;-)
This is my updated version of the new "Bryce" biome, nestled now in my "Westerwald" biome (the valley parts), as this has some more volatility to match the look of the real Bryce Canyon even a little better:
I updated 3 other biomes in Testworld too and made a 2. totally new biome named "RollingJungle":
All the updated and new biomes (.. and 4 "old" biomes which I changed for better look too) have been released today in Testworld Update No. 57 (Signature).
Bye
You make some awesome biomes :o
Hi,
today I created Bryce Canyon (USA) biome:
Skyworld:
mysource, you are a god amongst humans. Those are some truly epic constructs.
Would it be a challenge to implement the new biome generation system of 1.7, once released, into TerrainControl?
Wow mysource that is really impressive :O
Hidden Lake Island (new arrangement by a few of my biomes):
Ocean at height 64, hidden lake at height 112, cliff mountains at about height 196.
Easy to create using my biomes ;-).
Hi,
in combination of 3 custom biomes I made these "Mountain-Arches":
(still some WIP ... )
Bye
For everyone having trouble running it in single player, there is a very simple solution - don't try.
Run a local Bukkit server from your console like I do (you can just follow the instructions on the Bukkit wiki - works fine on Windows 8 with the latest Java version) and just treat it like any other SMP server.
People on your local network will be able to access it just the same, and you can install any plugins by placing them in the 'plugins' directory without trying to locate a single player build.
If plugins you use require a MySQL database, just install something like XAMPP or WAMPP and move on with your day!
Hi,
today I created a Skyworld with isles of landmass (any biome possible) from about -20 to +245 height (bedrock disabled):
May be improved for sure by the use of bo2´s and/or all other possible TC-enhancements/adjustements.
(This is still just made as a "template" for multiple different height skyworld`s / biomes)
Bye ;-)
Hi,
as a quick practice, I made today "Niagara-Falls" (still WIP):
Will be improved to even closer reality look.
Bye
Hi,
I created "Grand-Canyon" (Arizona/USA):
Testworld video No 7 showing my newest biomes:
Enjoy and bye
This is the best world generator ever seen. Thanks for great work :D

Dude, read the very past part of the above description that says "Important - please do not post your questions in the comments section below, head to the forums instead! We do not answer questions here as it would only result in chaos. Feel free to use the wall for general comments!"
Love the plugin :P
