Telekinetic Reality
Brief description: Telekinetic Reality adds survival-based block levitation/physical abilities (telekinesis) to minecraft. TR also adds a unique graphical skill tree interface to aid in ability leveling/progression.
Lore: Behind the illusion that we perceive as reality, there is another fabric. This surface is more pliable, more easily manipulated. In fact, it is so flexible that beings which exist in the conscious dimension are capable of grasping control... ...that is, beings with adequate mental capacity...
Are you capable of controlling the illusion?
Welcome to Telekinetic Reality.
This is a project that has existed for well over a year. It has evolved into a plugin that melds neatly with ordinary survival. Players will, after discovering telekinesis, spend time honing their skills to suit their survival needs. This is not a plugin that is meant to extend the end-game of minecraft, nor is it a plugin to push rivals past the point of defeat. Telekinetic Reality (TR) aims to create a convenience for users, to fuel bonds among players whose skills compliment each other. As players progress through TR they will be presented with a number of choices they cannot revert. These choices are aimed to separate players from one another, to make their skill set unique in such a way that their presence benefits players with other skill sets. Click here for more information on the basics of TR.
Plugin Release
ATTENTION! THIS PLUGIN IS CURRENTLY IN A DEVELOPMENT STATE. THERE WILL BE BUGS!
By downloading this plugin you accept the fact that you are responsible for all damages that may result from bugs.
I am currently testing multiple external plugin protection hooks. THIS DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOUR SERVER IS BULLETPROOF! There may be exploits and ways around this protection system. If you discover one of these exploits, please comment below so IT CAN BE PATCHED!
Here is a brief description of TR's content:
Commands
- /tr - Gets plugin version and info.
- /trlog - Gets latest plugin changelog.
- /syntax - The core plugin command. This opens a GUI containing all the plugin's features.
Permissions
None. Not yet implemented. Maybe in the future...
Dependencies
No way, never! This plugin is and forever will be standalone.
Compatibility
Currently supports region protection via the following plugins:
- PreciousStones 9.8.3
- WorldGuard 6.0.0 Beta 5
This plugin is a work in progress. I will post screenshots, videos and updates as this plugin evolves. I post the latest update/development information on twitter.
Feedback/ideas/opinions are ESSENTIAL to the development of this plugin! PLEASE let me know what you think!
I will respond to comments on this page or in one of the pages linked under the top banner.

Comments:
Before posting a question, please verify that your question has not already been answered in the FAQ.
Do NOT post a comment asking for statistics, controls or the basic usage of the plugin (you are almost guaranteed to find an explanation here).
is this inactive?? or are you guys stilll working on the full version because i would like the full version
@osreboot
Can't wait :)
I'm debating whether I should get this plugin on my server and tell everyone about it, or if I should just make a new, unexplained world with it implemented and let them all figure it out.
@dunkeroni
Good thought, I'll get around to it at some point. I just moved to a new home, and I'm still trying to get settled. As soon as that happens I'll ramp up activity on this plugin and fix that and some other glaring issues with the plugin.
Have you been able to find a way around the FallingBlock client jitteryness? I know you've already decided on being dependency-free, but the FlyingBlocksAPI readme outlines a simplistic way to use mounts to make the blocks float more smoothly. It might be worth trying to implement the same functionality in your plugin to make the block movements look a bit cleaner for clients.
@Simonster99
Not yet, but maybe in the future ;)
Hi! I haven't tried out your plugin yet, but it looks really amazing.
I just have one question, are you able to levitate mobs and players aswell?
@pacificfils
Woops, sorry about that. Forgot to add wall signs to the blacklist. Enjoy your update! ;P
Can you prevent signs from being levitated? Thanks!
@osreboot
if you need any testers, to get those bugs out faster, i would love to help :3
@ro61n
No, I cannot say for sure when I will release the full version. My goal, for now at least, is the end of December (if not sooner). Hopefully I'll be able to get a lot done over Christmas break and the weeks prior.
EDIT: For future reference, an [experimental] external protection hook WILL come before the full release. Keep an eye out ;)
can you maybe tell us when the full version will be released? i cant wait!
@osreboot
My discovered value is 0. Oddly enough, my friend was able to get his first skill point on our server which he said took roughly 2 minutes. The only client-side plugins I use are optifine, zan's minimap, and the shaders (SEUS). He uses the same setup.
One thing I noticed is "Tweak Block Damage" was turned On under Shaders. I'm not entirely sure what that does but it was recommended to turn it on.
I'm going to test it out a little more report back with results later. Thanks for the reply too! I was almost thinking it was an elaborate troll, but I'm really glad it's a real plugin and I can't wait for future updates :)
how can u protect safezones or worldguarded regions from ppl griefing because this plugin bypass those protections
@DrKickflip13
No, learning telekinesis initially does not have to be in a single attempt. It is strange that it is taking so long... let me know if there are any console errors. Also, go into your player file and check the value of 'discovered'; if it is greater than zero then telekinesis is functioning correctly... if not we might need to check for plugin conflicts. :P Good luck!
Does the initial 5-10 minute thing have to be in one attempt? I tried once and pretended to get in to it as if I was focusing on the block to make it move but ended up getting ancy and thinking it wasn't doing anything. I then propped up some weights on the shift key and right mouse button and left it for a good 15-20 minutes but nothing happened. I was aiming at a cobblestone block and holding shift + right mouse button.
/syntax brings up the GUI and appears to be working. I am running on a small server 1.7.10 with friends and only use a few plugins (core, backpacks, gravestone, health bars, fast craft, and stats)
The tr_playerdata folder has all 0's for every user. I have not tried modifying it as I was hoping to experience it as intended and discover the hidden abilities along the way.
Thanks in advance for any help
@maxtmax
Already answered (http://dev.bukkit.org/bukkit-plugins/telekinetic-reality/?comment=36) with an amendment that the server must be stopped in order for changes to take effect. Change the category marked 'skp'.
Anyway to give yourself skill points? Answer Asap, please, and thank you!
Can't wait man! Keep up the great work!! I keep checking back every day to see if you've updated lol
@Billeh007
I already talked about this. Go read the description.
Would there be any way you'd be able to add some sort of protection so that if we wanted a server that has no griefing we could still have this plugin?
