Changelog

1.1 Updates!

If you want the new defaults (highly recommended), the easiest way is to delete your config file and restart your server. If you've already customized your config file, make a copy first so that you can copy/paste your previous modifications back into the new default file. :)

  • Added dark matter hammer and swiftwolf's ring to default ownership bans. These can't be prevented from wrecking the world while dodging anti grief and block loggers (hammer), stealing animals (ring), injuring players even when pvp is off (ring) and injuring anti-grief-protected animals (ring).
  • Added turtles to the default ownership bans. Similar to above, these completely bypass bukkit plugins so they can't be limited by anti grief, and they leave no trace of their changes with block loggers. Even if they did respect anti grief rules, they could still be easily used by griefers to make a giant mess by either placing or breaking blocks in a very large area anonymously AND while the griefer himself is offline (hands free grief! woohoo!).
  • Added the quarry to the default ownership bans list, because it makes an enormous, unsightly holy in the earth. BuildCraft's miner is also a great automatic mining option, but it doesn't produce a giant eyesore.
  • Added ores and other world blocks which are ordinarily in limited supply (and thus are the basis for a server's economy) to the crafting ban list. This is important in limiting IndustrialCraft, because otherwise UU matter can be used to indirectly turn sunlight (it's free!) into diamonds, coal, and other materials which would otherwise hold a consistent value in your economy. Happily, this "surgical" ban allows players to craft the fun upper-end industrial craft armors without endangering the economy. The alternative would have been to remove mass fabricators entirely to cut off access to UU matter, which would have made those armors impossible to craft.
  • Very happily, I verified that fillers and builders DO respect anti grief tech, so they get to stay in! =D
