TechCraft
Welcome to TechCraft! A great plugin that allows you integrate technology into your Minecraft server easily. TechCraft also uses core Minecraft elements such as Redstone to power your factories. Don't hesitate to ask for some features that aren't already listed.
Features, Permission, Commands, or Configurations that are written (name | version) will be released on that version. This is for minor features.
Features
- Build factories to automatically craft and smelt items.
- Chain workers together.
Commands
- None Implemented
Permissions
- (tech.craftfactory | v0.1.1)
- (tech.smeltfactory | v0.1.1)
Configuration

Phases
Since this plugin is still in it's planning stages I put together phases in which the plugin is going to progress by. As each phase is close to it's first alpha release there will be a written tutorial on how to create each mechanic in the phase. Once all the phases are done I will release videos on how each mechanic is made.
Note: The dates listed on the phases are rough estimates. They may be sooner or later by a month. When it is close to it's release I will know for sure.
Development States
This is my way of making sure the fans of TechCraft stay informed of my progress with each phase. Here is a list of states that I will follow by:
- Planning
- Waiting
- In Development
- Alpha
- Beta
- Released
Phase 1: Factories
- Release Date: July 20th
- Development State: Beta
- Description: Factories will include the core parts of TechCraft. A Crafting Factory is a type of factory that will automatically crafts an item once it is powered. It will take Ingredients for the item in one chest, craft the item with the ingredients, then place the crafted item in another chest. This is a delayed process so it will craft the item, wait a little bit depending on the power it is given and then start the process all over again. Another type of factory that will be released in this phase is Smelting Factories. These factories act the same as Crafting Factories but they smelt things using a furnace.
Phase 2: Pipes
- Release Date: August 2014
- Development State: In Development
- Description: Pipes allow you to transfer items from one chest to another by using glass as the pipe. You can also create systems of pipes to split up items by type. Having pipes will help you build more extravagant factory systems. Such as crafting a stick, then moving those sticks to a chest that will also contain wood that would craft into a pickax. Just with these two phases alone there are endless possibilities!
Phase 3: Quarries
- Release Date: September 2014
- Development State: Waiting
- Description: Quarries will allow you to mine huge amounts of area and put everything that is mined into a chest. This will work by building a wall of planks around where you want to be mined then it will mine each block one by one going all the way down to bedrock. Once it has mined everything it will stop. Everything that was collected from the quarry will be put in a chest in real-time. With this phase added onto the others you could make huge systems of mining, pipes, and factories to create the ultimate automatic machine!
Phase 4: Switches
- Release Date: October 2014
- Development State: Waiting
- Description: Switches allow users to sort items through a long line of chests. So when your mining you can sort the diamonds from the other blocks. Each switch will also have a default chest at the end which is where all the blocks that don't match any of the other chests criteria go. This will allow a much simpler way to use factories when mining without getting other items in the way.
Phase 5: Foresters and Farmers
- Release Date: November 2014
- Development State: Planning
- Description: Foresters and Farmers are just the beginning for automated processing. Both Foresters and Farmers have similar qualities to a Quarry. Foresters will cut down all the trees in a specific area. The specific area is outlined by the a fence that you place down. Farmers are outlined in the same way except they harvest plants. Each of these mechanics put what they collect in a chest.
Hi, gold ingot factory (item id 266) doesn't work. I'm looking through the jar and could use a hint to where I'd troubleshoot this and get nugget -> ingot working.
Thanks, Chris
@Supershadow95
I just found this page, but have installed the craftfactory plugin this is derived from and factories work on my 1.8 spigot server. Haven't tried pipelines or anything else yet.
Extra note: I needed to create the plugins/CraftFactory folder manually. I also used touch to create the .cf files the log was complaining about.

Factories should work for 1.7.10 - are you sure you built it right? As for the release of tubes, they aren't done yet and Chris doesn't have the time to work on the project at the moment, and I haven't either recently.
Does this work with 1.7.10? Because I can't seem to make a crafting factory.
Any chance that those tubes can be released? (They are the best part IMO, so much better than hoppers) If not, is there a Jenkins page where I can get the newest stable build of the plugin with tubes? And a hard date for the tubes now that we've hit august is appreciated.

This plugin hasn't been released yet. But the first phase is getting close to Pre-Alpha. The other stages, Alpha and Beta, move through quickly. So you can expect the first phase to be released soon.
I have not tested that bug yet and I think it's fixed already :)... derp omg I forgot it wasn't out (maybe?)
