Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

What's new?
Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true
in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay
command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

In reply to euanpc:
Only for Toclafane, and you seriously need to update Spigot / Paper the setCannotEnterHiveTicks() method was added back on February 9
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
oh no I just looked it up
hello I believe I am having some problems navigating Jenkins for the correct plugin is the correct version 4.3?
what does this Error occurred while enabling TARDIS v4.3-b2035 (Is it up to date?)
java.lang.NullPointerException: Name is null mean?
In reply to euanpc:
Would need to see the full error from the log, make a ticket. plugin.yml has not changed.
Make sure you download TARDISChunkGenerator too http://tardisjenkins.duckdns.org:8080/job/TARDISChunkGenerator/.
I think you did something with the plugin.yml in v4.3
Were is the Chunkgenerator download`?
Here on "the download page" is no file in additional or dependent files and the only Chunkgenerator I can find is the version 2.5.6 but at GitHub the internal number in the source code is something like 4.3.1.
My Server won't accept the 2.5.6 anymore and with a gap that far, there has to be a newer version to this right? I really looked everywere here and I can't find a thing. Anyone there who can give me a link to ne latest Version on the Chunkgenerator? I can't be the only one with this problem...
Tank you.
p.s. Love the plugin, so well made, it's part of my server since years. Thank you so much for this fun :)
edit:
Found this one: http://tardisjenkins.duckdns.org:8080/job/TARDISChunkGenerator/
I am atm putting it into my server, hopefully it works.
I found it through the "bleeding edge" builds of the Tardis plugin, it came in my mind that I could search for TARDISChunkGenerator on jenkins and there it was. But this is still not the way it is meant to be isn't it?
In reply to Forge_User_28678780:
Additional files is on the same page as the page where you download the actual TARDIS jar file: Files -> TARDIS vX.x.x -> Additional Files -> TARDISChunkGenerator
I'd recommend just getting the latest build of TARDIS & TARDISChunkGenerator from the Jenkins server anyway as I'm too lazy to update the files here.
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
Alright thank you very much for making it clear, I always misinterpreted this page as "the download page" ^^'
Is world guard, world border, optifine, still compatible with the Tardis plugin? if so, where do I get the up to date versions of those plugins?... I went to the official pages for them and they all out oi date. Am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks in advance :)
I did some fishing around and I fig'd out how to get the world guard, world border to work, but I still need answers on Optifine :)
I fig'd out the Optifine issue. I had to click preview version to see the 1.15 version of Optifine lol
So this is my list of what I have. Please tell me if I'm missing any plugin I should have to enhance my fun.
LibsDisguises
PermissionsBukkit-2.5
ProtocolLib
TARDIS
TARDISChunkGenerator
TARDISWeepingAngels
WorldBorder
worldedit-bukkit-7.1.0
worldguard-bukkit-7.0.2
WorldResourcePacks-1.0.2
I also have the following resource packs.
Skaro
Gallifrey
TWARP
TSRP
TRP
In reply to Kaijudo:
LibsDisguises is optional - TARDISChunkGenerator has disguise utilities to fall back on if Libs is not enabled - not as slick as Libs but good if you want to reduce plugins on the server. TARDISWeeping Angels doesn't use Libs at all anymore.
TARDIS has world management built-in now which includes per-world resource packs so could possibly lose WorldResourcePacks too.
Dependency on ProtocolLib is minimal, pretty much just intercepting chat packets from the Zero Room so unless you're keeping Libs that could go as well!
If you're using TARDIS Interior Positioning (the default) to store TARDISes in the TimeVortex world you don't really need WorldBorder either...
The latest TARDIS-Resource-Pack includes all the Weeping angels textures (I think I got them all) so you can skip TWARP.
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
Thanks for the info. The mod gets better and better every time I return to it.
Hi - we're updating from a very old version (3.8.2 b1659) to the latest build.
Has the format for custom consoles changed at some point during that time? It seems none of our custom ones work, you get an error when you /tgive somebody the seed, or when you place the seed (you don't see the "Valid seed block" message), and console gets spammed non-stop with errors if you try and grow one with /tardis desktop, until we restart. You can craft the seed fine.
Have also tried completely wiping the database and starting fresh, and it still happens.
If the format has changed, is there a way to convert them or update them to work again? Or do we need to resave them?
If it's supposed to still be working, I can make a proper issue with stacktraces etc. Thanks.
In reply to Forge_User_22868024:
Technically the .tschm format has not changed, but Minecraft has, and a lot of the information in the old schematic files no longer contains valid block materials.
You'll need to resave the old custom consoles with the /tardisschematic command.
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
Cool, I'll try that and let you know if it solves it.
Got a question; is there a way to get the TARDIS custom recipes to show up in the regular crafting book, like SurvivalPlus does?
