Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true
in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay
command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

Good to know, cheers.
Hello,
First of all, a huge congratulations for this plugin, it's incredible! But what is incredible is often complex :)
Secondly, here is the information requested for a better resolution of my problem:
* Exact CraftBukkit version: git-paper-186 (MC:1.14.4)
* Exact TARDIS version: 4.1.0-b1867
* The server log showing the entire error: no error in the log
* If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue: It's not really a bug, I think I must have missed something...
* List of other plugins on server :
_Automatic inventory
_BackpackRemastered
_bPermissions
_bStats _bStats
_CrisTreeDecapitator
_DeadChest
_dynamp
_dynmap-structures
_FairEXP
_HsRails
_LoginSecurity
_PluginMetrics
_SinglePersonSleep
_SpawnerSilk
_TARDIS
_TARDISChunkGenerator
_UncraftingTable
_Update
_Wands
_Zenchantments
(I tried with all plugins disabled (except TARDIS Chunk Generator and bPermissions))
I have 2 problems (for the moment) that I can't solve:
1°) When I type the command "/TARDIS exterminate" I get the following message: "You must break the TARDIS Police Box Sign first" but the problem is that I have no sign outside the TARDIS and when I remove the only one present inside, it doesn't change anything.
2°) I installed the resource pack for sound and textures, for sound, it works, for textures I obviously don't have them all but some work. For example, the outside of the TARDIS is made of terracotta block with a classic iron door and the inside is the same : my default texture pack (TARDIS texture pack are on the top of the texture pack list). (see screenshots 1, 2 & 3)
I spent some time in your documentation (very detailed) but I probably missed something, I've already solved a lot of my basic problems (no teleportation in the nether or end and permissions, for example). I'm not English so it's a bit problematic to read all the documentation correctly without missing anything or making a misinterpretation.
Thank you in advance for studying my problem and, I hope, solving it!

In reply to ixeygrek:
The Chameleon circuit is set to the FACTORY preset by default (you can change this in the config). You need to set the TARDIS exterior to something that has a sign on the outside (eg a Blue Police Box) using the Chameleon Circuit in the Control Centre sign GUI.
In future, please use a ticket to report issues, rather than a comment :)
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
Okay.... I feel stupid now!!!
I knew I'd missed something.
Thank you very much, I'll open a ticket next time.
Have a good day.
how would one go about restricting what a player can use for the walls and floors?
i have a couple ppl that are creating a diamond block floor/wall tardis, then stripping it for the walls and floors, getting loads of diamond, then deleting the tardis and making another one to get more
In reply to Sneaky_42:
Diamond blocks (and other precious blocks) are turned off by default...
Set allow.all_blocks: false in the config (/tadmin all_blocks false)
From build #1883 you can further restrict the list of available blocks by editing the tardis_blocks section in blocks.yml
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
thank you for that, i will test it, later this evening.
on other issue i have recently encountered:
if a player travels to a parking area that is on a map they can not build on, they can not use their door with the gold nugget.
i tried clearing all the flags on the global region, and they cant sneak-right click or interact with the door. and just outside of the tardisarea, they can use the key with no issues
what flag in worldguard would help with this?
EDIT: turned out to be the default spawn protection... :/ fixed it by reducing it to 0
In reply to Sneaky_42:
I would be guessing you'd need to set the "interact" flag to allow/true
https://worldguard.readthedocs.io/en/latest/regions/flags/#protection-related
Better Cybermen, Zygons and Silurians!
Better Daleks!
And no longer dependent on LibsDisguises or OptiFine :)
In true Minecraft style, one in each colour :)
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
HOW DO I TRY THAT?!
In reply to Forge_User_21136890:
It's in the latest Jenkins build, but you need a custom resource pack which I haven't finished yet - no Optifine required though... coming soon!
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
Oh, it's a mushroom block with a custom mesh. Interesting. Will it be able to fly? maybe moving just one block continuously (following an invisible, flying player) is not very expensive. Or maybe there's some way to convert it into an entity? like sand to falling sand

Build #1902
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
how do i use the new texture pack the tardis still looks the same like it use 2
In reply to MasterQuentus:
Some textures still require Optifine - like the TARDIS exterior for the NEW and OLD police boxes.
To use the new Police box models, use page 2 of the chameleon GUI.
In reply to eccentric_devotion:
I mean the exterior it still looks the same like it did in the old texture pack how do I change it to the new 3d block model one
In reply to MasterQuentus:
To use the new Police box models, use page 2 of the chameleon GUI.
