Downloads
I'm too lazy to upload TARDIS files to Bukkit anymore, as builds are automatically created when the plugin is updated and changes pushed to GitHub.
Version specific downloads can be found here: https://tardis.pages.dev/download
Please make sure you are using the latest Spigot/Paper builds (for the Minecraft version you are running) before installing TARDIS or creating an issue!
What it does
TARDIS is a plugin that gives you the ability to create a Police Box that lets you time travel (teleport) to random locations. It adds a Whovian twist to the typical /sethome and /home commands.
As a player, you can:
- Create a TARDIS that is bigger on the inside.
- Time travel to a random location.
- Time travel back home (where you created the TARDIS initially).
- Save and list interesting time travel locations, so you can return to them easily.
- Take companions with you when you time travel.
- Make your TARDIS blend in with the Chameleon Circuit.
- Use your own schematic to build the TARDIS interior
- Grow new TARDIS rooms
- Use Artron Energy
- Remote control the TARDIS
- Custom TARDIS sounds with companion Resource Pack
- Custom TARDIS textures with companion Resource Pack

Installation
As a minimum, just drop the TARDIS.jar, TARDISChunkGenerator.jar (look under Additional Files on the download page) and any optional plugins listed below into the Bukkit plugins folder and start your server. For more detailed instructions see: https://tardis.pages.dev/installation-v5
Optional installs
These are not needed for TARDIS to function, but enhance the plugin with extra features...
- Install the TARDIS-SoundResourcePack in the Minecraft client to hear custom TARDIS sounds
- Install the TARDIS-Resource-Pack to see aal the fancy textures and models (requires TARDIS v4.2 or higher).
- Install the TARDISChunkGenerator plugin so that you can generate TARDISes in their own self-contained world (included on the TARDIS plugin download page under Additional files).
- Install WorldGuard to automatically protect your TARDIS from griefing, and stop mobs spawning in TARDIS worlds.
- Install TARDISWeepingAngels to add some Whovian mobs to the game.
- Install a Permissions plugin, so that you can restrict or grant players the rights to use TARDIS’ different features. We like PermissionsBukkit.

Bugs / Requests
Please post a ticket for TARDIS plugin requests and bugs, thank you :)
WARNING: I am no longer prepared to waste my time looking at incomplete tickets. If your ticket does not follow the guidelines set out below, it will be deleted immediately!
Make sure you have read the FAQs first, as your question may already be answered there. Also make sure you have searched for a previous ticket with the same/similar issue (use the Filters to search closed tickets).
If you are going to create a BUG ticket you need to supply relevant information (as I'm not a mind reader, nor do I have access to your server...) - as a minimum you need:
- Exact CraftBukkit version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - Exact TARDIS version i.e. NOT 'the latest' - use the
/tardis version
command if possible, otherwise copy from server log - The server log showing the entire error (as a paste or at Pastebin - NOT a screenshot) - this should be the log from when the server starts up right through to when the error occurs
- If no error in the log, then a video of the bug happening or the EXACT steps needed to reproduce the issue.
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/config.yml file or other configuration file if relevant
- Attach your plugins/TARDIS/TARDIS.db file if relevant
- List of other plugins on server
Stats
Basic statistics are collected for some versions of the TARDIS plugin (v2.5.8 and earlier). You can opt out at any time by setting opt-out: true
in plugins/PluginMetrics/config.yml
External web access
Version 2.8 (and higher) of this plugin includes a translation feature (the /tardissay
command) that connects to the Lingva translation service.
You can prevent players from using the command by removing / not giving them the permission tardis.translate

In what way is it not working? Going to need a bit more information if I'm to help you with this...
this pugin isnt working on my server. i can create and enter a TARDIS, but i cant fly it. im running beta build 1.4.5 r2.
@xXSshadowXx
Can you post a list of the plugins you are using and I will set up my test server the same way.
Setting debug: true won't help us in this instance, but may do if I release a special debug version for you to test, if I can't reproduce the problem on my end.
@eccentricnz
When I did all the changing of the worlds i let the DB regenerate. There were only a handful of us using it because I was just about to release it server wide when I ran into these issues.
I thought of another plugin I added back recently. NoLagg. It was down because of the 1.4.4 update a while back. Do you know if it could cause a problem? I really don't know how to check because searching through the logs I can't find what triggers the errors. They just start.
What does setting debug to true do? I know it would give us more info but do you think it would help in this case?
@xXSshadowXx
the WorldGuard config settings are part of the default plugin config, but you can set them both to false if you want. Just out of curiosity how big (size in megabytes) is the main server TARDIS.db file?
@eccentricnz
I am still getting those errors even tho I have removed that world(and plugin).
I generated a fresh config on my test server and notice on my main server I still have this in my config.
use_worldguard: true
respect_worldguard: true
Are those not supposed to be there? Besides that I just can't figure out what is causing it to all of a sudden start spamming those errors.
Keep up the good work and add a command that blows up your tardis and a lot of stuff around it and deletes it at the same time because its lame when you just break the sign you need a explodtion. That would be nice and you need more to add on to the deluxe like rooms in it and stairs and huge inside that would be AWESOME. Work on that. PLEASE.

for those who dont wanna wait for bukkit to approve the file :)
@eccentricnz
Thank you so very much!! It's so complicated running a multiverse server that we have to be careful of abuse all the time.
@TerceptMMC
Will add a permission node as requested when i get back home
@SeeJayEmm
Sounds like a plan, currently away in another city right now but will work on this in the weekend :)
@eccentricnz Thanks for the quick responses. It's appreciated.
Could you add permission nodes to prevent players from teleporting to other players? If you need reasons why I could provide some but I don't think it should be too much of a hassle :)
@SeeJayEmm
/tardisadmin find [player]
to locate player TARDISsinclude_default_world: false
the config. At the moment there is no function to block the use of the commands, but it should be easy to hook into thedefault_world
andinclude_default_world
settings and deny access if set to falseHave added these to the plugin todo list :)
@TerceptMMC
I have a couple questions for the community:
Thanks
Is this compatible with Bukkit 1.4.5? When the Tardis lands could it possibly destroy any player placed blocks? Will the Tardis land in a town protected by the Towny plugin? I help moderator a decent sized public server and I need to make sure if I convince the owner to add this that it wont fuck anything up.
Thanks!
@eccentricnz
So that's the problem with my skyblock world! I couldn't track the problem down so I just disabled the world until it could be fixed.
@eccentricnz
Thanks for the detailed explanation. I think I won't be using that plugin anyway as much as I wanted to in the beginning.
I would try the timeout thing as you said though just to safeguard against this in the future. There seem to be a few budding "Sky" plugins out there. It may help you down the road with troubleshooting.
@xXSshadowXx
Looks like skyblock worlds are not really compatible with TARDIS...
/tardis comehere
when I'm on my island (which works) - when I leave to go somewhere else, it leaves a 'ghost' Police Box behind (I guess because Ultimate SkyBlock/WorldGuard won't let TARDIS destroy the blocks)So, I suggest you exclude the skyworld from the TARDIS random teleport locations ie
/tardisadmin exclude skyworld
EDIT You'll need version 1.8.4 to run the
/tardisadmin exclude
command 'cause it's broken in earlier versions! Or just edit the config file.Bummer because I've managed to get 'Planetoid' worlds, the end and nether worlds to work OK - maybe I could set a timer and if TARDIS hasn't found a random location within a certain period, then to make the TARDIS materialise in the air at cloud level
