Tactical Insertions

Despite what this says, this project is not inactive and will work on the newest MC versions. I just don't currently have a reason to update it. Ask for features!

Welcome to TacticalInsertions!

Tactical Insertions allows your players to place warp points and respawn points in your world, similar to the tactical insertions of Call of Duty. These warps and respawn points are blocks with smoke particle effects coming from them. When a player breaks the insertion block, the insertion is destroyed and it can no longer be used as a warp or respawn point.

This is a great plugin for any factions server!

Basic Usage

Players get an insertion by running gettac. There can only be one insertion in a player's inventory at a time. Place the insertion as you would any other block, and each mode will act differently. Warp mode will ask the user to name the insertion. Respawn mode will set a respawn insertion.

At this time, for respawn mode, the work is done. In warp mode, the player can now warp to the insertion. Using /tacwarp <insertion name> will warp the player to it.

At any time, if the insertion is broken, the respawn point will be gone and in warp mode the warp will no longer exist.

All Commands

• gettac: Gives the player who ran the command a tactical insertion.
• tacwarp <warp name>: Warps the player to the specified insertion. Warp mode only.
• tacwarps: Lists all of a player's tactical insertions. Warp mode only.
• tacinserts (ti for short): Contains moderator commands.

There are 2 different modes for this plugin- warp and respawn.

Modes

Warp Mode

Warp mode allows players to place a tactical insertion and give it a name. Players can warp to any of their insertions using /tacwarp <insertion name>Forcelinebreak Players can view all of their warps using /tacwarps

Respawn Mode

In respawn mode, players can only place one insertion. If the player dies, they will be respawned at the insertion and it will then break. /tacwarp and /tacwarps will do nothing.

Permissions

• tacticalinsertions.getblock: Lets the player use /gettac
• tacticalinsertions.placeblock: Lets the player place tactical insertions
• tacticalinsertions.moderator: Gives access to the moderator commands.

Moderator Functions

Commands:

• /ti version- prints the plugin's version
• /ti clearinsertions- deletes all insertions from the server.
• /ti changemode- changes the plugin from one mode to the other. This can only be done once there are no insertions on the server.

Configuration

• plugin_prefix: the name the plugin uses when talking to players
• distance_from_other_tac_minimum: the number of blocks away an insertion has to be from others
• allow_players_to_drop_insertions: whether or not dropped insertion blocks can exist in the world
• tac_block_material: the material of the insertion block. If you change this and you can no longer get an insertion, it is invalid. Typically, solid blocks are your best bet. Use the material list https://hub.spigotmc.org/javadocs/spigot/org/bukkit/Material.html to select a material. It is case sensitive.

Language Files

Want to translate TacticalInsertions to another language or just want to change some of the messages? By changing the language files inside the Language folder the plugin creates, you can change the messages fro the plugin. If you translate this to another language, please send me the file with the translations. I will put the translation into the plugin officially for others!

Known Issues

• Some odd behavior when running /tacwarps and /tacwarp in respawn mode. This will be fixed with the next release.
• Some odd behavior with some messages. Report any messages that display oddly.
