Can you configure this so instead of only giving it when someone new joins make it so it can be a kit? Like everytime someone types /kit pvp it will assign that kit or any other kits by name.
@grandwazir
Woo! Thanks for fixing the armour kit problem :) v1.2.1 works great with /sk load, but now I'm not getting anything (in game or in server logs) on a new user login?
@fungreenfox
You just setup your inventory how you want guests to have it then type /sk save. There is no need to edit the configuration files any more. This is explained on the wiki clearly.
@2mac
I think so, it is based on some other factors to. Rather than try to guess myself I ask Bukkit if the player is new or not.
How does this plugin detect new players? Is it just triggered by the world creating a .dat file for the player?
I have been around wiki and your explanations there. I understood how to make the config at 1.0.2 and jumped to 1.1.2 now. I dont see any explanation where to put leatherboots in what slot or a as little as an example config file working for 4 slots and a few items either. What do we have wiki for, if its not explained? I need examples on how to write the config file! Is this a guessing contest? The java file started op by the server did only make 2 path entrances and no other example.
Hi, noticed serious bug. If a player comes in for example the first time with its name (eg ADMIN) and falls AdMiN writing, the plugin again from all the material.
06:12:08 <name.richardson.james.bukkit.starterkit.PlayerJoinListener>Granting kit to AdMiN
06:12:08 <> Player AdMiN connected
06:10:36 <> Player ADMIN disconnected.
Same problem with each new start (not restart) the server
@GoldenWrapper
You do not need to give them any permissions. They will only get the kit if they have never visited the server before.
@Switch0r
Not directly. It asks Bukkit which does pretty much the same thing although if you delete a player from that folder and do not restart the server, Bukkit will still report it as being someone who has joined before until you do.
@satirenine
Doesn't matter which world they login in to they will receive the kit if they have not joined the server before. Your correct the commands are all admin commands along with the permissions.
@Mirrorsounds
That error should have been fixed in the latest version. Clear your config.yml and let the plugin recreate it and see if it happens again.
I am getting an error on startup. Can you help? I am using the Bukkit RB 1.2.5-R2
here is the error http://pastebin.com/EpsrWMqP
Does StarterKit work with Multiverse or are any permissions needed to allow new players to get the kit? I ask because new players aren't getting anything yet.
It seems like all the perms are for admin commands only but I may just be misunderstanding.
Anyway, cool plugin. I like the way you allow in-game setup rather than having to do it in a config file. Very nice.
Can you rename the file when you download it to StarterKit and not starter-kit-1.1.2
I had this plugin running 2 times xd
Does it read from world/players/ to see if someone connects from the first time ?
Thanks for this plugin :)
I installed and added the plugin, set up the inventories, and gave users the starterkit.load permission node. But when they join (for the first time) they don't get the items. Any help?
@StealthSpider
No. Only players who have never joined your server before (regardless of when the plugin is installed) will receive the kit.
If i were to install this now, on my already running for 6 months server would players who have been on before the plugin was installed receive the starterkit when the first login after the plugin has been installed?
@Zwing87
Should support them, give it a go.
enchantment items
support? :)
@jinkos32
File a bug if you think it is an issue with the plugin. You won't get a kit yourself since you have joined the server before.
@ImaginecraftMcServer
It shouldn't conflict.
dosent work for me either and i dont have that xauth
i dont know it dont work for me .... maybe cause i have xauth plugin?? does that matter?
New version is now available with a much more powerful and easier method of creating kits. Simply arrange your inventory the way you want it then type /sk save. New players will get an exact copy.
It is IRON_SPADE
