Search the map for the falling star, mine your way through the star to get to the prize in the center. First person to reach it wins and receives a prize! Sounds easy, right? Wait until you run into other players, or one of the random items turns into something you wish you never got...

What It Does
- After a configurable amount of time, the Star Hunt starts and the location (Random) of the star is announced
- A star (Material is configurable in the config), falls from the sky randomly in the map (Within 5000 from 0,0,0)
- Players have to mine through the sphere (Star drops random items as you mine) to get to the Diamond Block inside, which drops 5 random items
- The first person to mine the Diamond Block gets their name announced and one minute before the star hunt restarts to mine as many blocks as possible
- The next star hunt countdown begins after one minute, the amount of time before the next star hunt is configurable
Commands

| /starhunt stop | Stops the Star Hunt and removes the current star |
| /starhunt start <world> | Starts the Star Hunt in one hour, broadcasts a message every 20 minutes |
| /starhunt start now <world> | Starts the Star Hunt immediately |
| /starhunt tp | Teleports you right to the star location |
| /starhunt where | Tells you the current location and world of the star hunt |
| /starhunt reload | Reloads the configuration file |
Permissions

- Note: By default, the average player has help, info, and the where command. Others are gained if they have the required permission.

i get the the same error, but you can still start starhunt.

would be nice to be able to autorun starhunt at startup, so i dont have to kickstart starhunt after every server restart.

Posted Dec 31, 2013I'm still working on getting item drops set up, as well as the bug fixes. It's hard to say the exact time, I would guess around two days.
Note: I'm still looking for a server to represent the plugin, as well as someone in video editing for a YouTube tutorial on the plugin, thanks.

Posted Dec 30, 2013The star spawns at the highest point in the world, so it would only land on the roof of a base or spawn. Also you can configure the area you want it to land so you can make sure that doesn't happen.
Even if it did, after the Star Hunt is over, it restores the area it effected to it's previous state. That was why there was an update from V 1.0 to V 1.1.
If you were to disable the plugin or stop it while it was on the spawn, it would still restore it to the previous state, so there is no way it could ruin the spawn or any builds.

That would be a good idea considering everyone has a different economy, I'll add an option in the config to enable random items, or enable custom items.
This will be available in the next update, as well as the feature that runelynx has addressed. Also I will be changing the ticks to seconds to make the configuration more user friendly.

Currently Star Hunter doesn't support multiple string worlds, you could try changing it to a single string.
