Spouties
Spouties is a simple plugin, working with Spoutcraft plugin and Spout client, to listen any music in minecraft. The music can be heard by you, or by all the players on the server. You can play a custom music, and a sound effect both. For exemple, you can set a donjon music, and at the end, a talking NPC with a sound effect ! That perfect for an awesome RP ambiance ! You can also play a music in a loop, like the main music of the server.
Commands
Before reading the commands, please note:
- [URL] must be like http://TheWeb.Site/Mymusic.mp3. You can use .mp3, .midi, .wav, or .ogg.
- [TIME] must be like 120. The time represent the song's time, and he was readed in seconds. So, 120 represent 2 minutes for exemple.
- Play Music
/play [URL]
- Play SoundEffect
/playeffect [URL]
- Play Music for all Spout users
Type /playglobal [URL]
- Play SoundEffect for all Spout users
/playglobaleffect [URL]
- Play Music in loop
/playloop [URL] [TIME]
- Stop the music
/stopmusic
- Reload config file
/reloadspouties

Posted Dec 7, 2013Amazing plugin! love listening to my LOTR Music while playing survival. Would it be possible to eventually add support to have it in a folder located in the server files? and/or a playlist for regions. If so this would easily become one of my all time favourites :)

the /playloop adds it to the ambient music list so it will play randomly when you're playing minecraft, at least this is my experience of it.

Posted Nov 24, 2013Wtf no loop? The /playloop command in help doesn't work! Id just make the file longer but then it takes to long to download. Any fix soon? Also any chance of update to 1.6.4?

/region flag [YourRegion] player-enter-command [Spouties Command] when i type this in it doesnt give me enough room for the whole URL.

Posted Jul 22, 2013You use a m4a file, but the plugin only support mp3, midi, wav or ogg files. Change the extension doesn't change the type of the file, you shoud convert into one of the 4 extension suported by the plugin.

Posted Jul 22, 2013Look at the console startup. Do you use Spout ? The plugin only work with Spout. If you get an [SEVERE] error, please create a ticket with the log, your plugins, and the bukkit build.

You can use this, by "think420"
Use dropbox. When dropbox shares a link it looks like this:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/42j68xspmks826k/Wilderness.mp3
First you change the link so that you get rid of the security, so you would type http: Then you have to make dropbox make it a direct download link. So you remove the WWW, and replace with DL, so that it looks like this:
http://dl.dropbox.com/s/42j68xspmks826k/Wilderness.mp3
All music files have always worked for me with spouties when I do this with the dropbox link.
Try it out in dropbox, the account is free and they don't limit your bandwidth as much as fileden.
