What does it do?
Ever got bored standing behind a wall of glass waiting for the next game to start? Or if you're a server owner, do you dread the question "Can I have creative so I can spectate?"
Yep, I've been there too. That's why I made this plugin! When you die and are out of the game, just do /spec on and you will be given flight and a window will open letting you teleport to other players still in the game. But here's the great bit! Players still in the game can't see you, and you can't interact with the world (cause damage, break or place blocks, etc). When you're finished just do /spec off to be teleported back to spawn. Simple!
Any requirements?
If you don't have a plugin with a /spawn command on your server, you need to set up a spectator lobby to make sure players are teleported back to spawn afterwards (see setup section).
Can I get development builds?

Hmm, that's weird. I tried to run a minecraft server not long ago on Ubuntu (dual boot with wubi) without much success. Half the plugins on BukkitDev gave an error that seems pretty like Frankie's... I gave up and uninstalled wubi in the end.

Hmm, I ran this plugin (your binaries) under OpenJDK 7 without any problem (under Ubuntu 14.04, Ubuntu 12.10 and the latest stable release of Debian).
My current version of Java is:
But, if he is using Java 6, this may be the problem (my opinion).
@AmauryPi
That's what I mean. If Frankie uses Linux (e.g. Ubuntu), it's likely that the version of Java is OpenJDK. I built the plug in against Java 7, so that might be the problem.
@frankieiswicked →
After some researches, it appears that the problem can be the Java version you are using.
What is your Java version?
I ran this plugin under Java 7 (7u51) on various GNU/Linux systems without any problem.
I advise you to try with Java 7.
@frankieiswicked
What operating system do you use? I suspect it may be Linux... Am I right?
This is the paste bin:
@frankieiswicked →
You should post the server log in a pastbin and put the link here. Without more infos, it isn't possible to help you...
@frankieiswicked
You must be doing something wrong if the plugin doesn't work for you. I tested it myself, and have it running on my 1.7.9 plugin testing server right now.
@pgmann
Damn this plugin then, even 1.7.10 won’t work
@frankieiswicked
I can't help you as your problem is far too vague. Sorry about that.
Hi, I have bukkit 1.7.9 R0-1 right? So I should be able to install it fine, but, whenever I install a 1.7 version, it doesn’t show up in the plugin list, please help! :(
@Yonder99
Thanks for the advice. I devided against adding separate permissions for on and off before because I couldn't think of a use for it. If people would like it added I'll happily do so in the next release.
Nice plugin! One thing I suggest though is that you make the permission to turn spectator mode on and turn spectator mode off two separate permissions. Why I am saying this is because imagine you're hosting some huge minecraft event, and when someone dies, you want them to be able to watch it, yet you are scared of the people who will try to interfere. If they can turn their spectator mode on, great! Everyone can watch! But if they can turn their spectator mode off, then the annoying, immature people will be able to interfere. Once again, good plugin! That is just my recommendation. :)
@pheea
Thanks very much for the offer, I will start a PM to discuss it.
You Can use my server if you want as a test server

Hello,
I will use this platform for all other requests/bugs :) .
Thanks, and I have not any problem with the delay, I just wanted to post here because I have thinked about the fact that you don't read GitHub issues :) .
P.-S. I can make a Pull Request to implement /spec say if you want, with the permission « spectate.say » (default op).
P.-P.-S. The Pull Request is here, if you want.
@AmauryPi
Hi, I have now replied to your tickets. Sorry for the delay, I'm away on holiday at the moment! Also it's nice to have all tickets in one place, so if you could use BukkitDev for reporting bugs in future that'd be great!
Hello!
I posted a suggestion and a bug on GitHub 10 days ago, and without any answer I just wanted to notice you about them here :) .
The suggestion is about posting to the spectator what without being in spectator mode.
Issue #1 on GitHub
The bug is about the unability to place a block where a spectator is.
Issue #2 on GitHub
Thanks :)
@jroda
Glad to hear it :-)
oh sorry thought was a chat that spec COULD use instead of the normal.
