SkyStone
SkyStone
SkyStone is a Skylands WGEN plugin that completely replaces the standard Minecraft terrain with Sky Islands, each one uniquely tailored to over 50 Overworld biomes. Ores are balanced to be roughly equal in per-chunk levels to the standard terrain (Based upon sampling the Default Island). The islands are also populated with caves, lava & water pools, lakes and cliffs, giving a varied environment to enjoy However, be careful while exploring, you may just end up falling out of the sky!
Feedback regarding the generator is highly valued, as I'd like to ensure that the WGEN is constantly improved.
Features:
Floating Islands Islands generated on a per-biome basis Same per-chunk resource density as the Overworld Caves! Compatible with Bukkit 1.7.2
Installation:
Drop SkyStone into your plugins folder and add the following to your bukkit.yml: worlds: world: generator: SkyStoneGen
Enjoy!

Terrain gen works fine in spigot 1.8 (even makes the new blocks in right amounts) except for the biomes with lots of furnaces and a few with chests (same problem like previous commenter). Nothing WorldEdit can't fix, but it's annoying and heavy to edit.
Please consider an update.
Seems to load fine in 1.8 with multiverse.
Few oddities though

They are everywhere mostly furnaces but there are the odd few islands with Crafting Tables and Chests.
I'd love to see this updated for 1.8.
Please tell me this plugin will be updated soon! I tried using it a while back but it made a void world and I got a load of errors when I tried to delete the world and I had some really cool ideas that used this awesome plugin but I need it for 1.7.9 or even 1.8 ;-; if you can't updTe it yourself can you make it open for others to update because if you make it open for others a buddy of mine might be able to update it.
Me and a friend tried using this on our server but it always generates a void world and it won't let us delete the world. We have to manually delete it.
Nope, looks broken. World is completely blank on generation, but no errors in console.
Working on 1.7.10?
@Owexz
Thank you very much for your reply mate. Hopefully you can help solve the problem, but I have no knowledge of plugins.
SkyStone is one of my favorite plugins, hopefully someone can help. I'm doing a new Minecraft server and wanted to map floating islands.
@dragonl
The lag spikes are a problem with the generator itself, the best temporary fix is just to pre-generate the world. Ideally, I would like to find some way of moving the plugin onto a separate thread, but I lack the knowledge and time to attempt it.
Hi there. I love this plugin but I can not use because I have a serious problem ... I generate much LAG on the server. Every time I go flying to other islands are generated and the game freezes stopped.
I have checked with the "LagMeter" plugin and goes to 5 TPS. If I remove the plugin and generated a normal world, does not have any kind of problems. I've tried both my local server as a hosting that I have hired.
Use the 1.7.9 version of Craftbukkit # 3092
This is the list of plugins I use:
@freebullets
You'll need to provide more information, such as CraftBukkit version, your logs, other plugins, configuration, etc. (For logs, please use pastebin/hastebin).
This is generating empty worlds for me.
This plugin needs some heavy generation tuning. Though keep it up Owexz, you are on the right track. I liked to see cave implementation but I think it is causing more problems than feature enhancement. I suggest you add a user control with a folder and a proper config file. for instance structure gen or not, cave gen or not, ore gen or not, monster spawn or not(yes other plugins does that but it's always neat to have), sand fall or not.
At the moment, I find that trees have trouble spawning safely enough, some tress are split in half and looks ugly. some caves just trash the environment aesthetic. IMHO, I'd prefer no caves, or at least only some minor holes on the sides of islands but complex cave systems on floating islands is very touchy. For now, island spacing and all is great but overall, the island ledges are very abrupt and looks weird. Try to smooth those up a little. I understand that this is not some easy task you are doing but I respect you tons, Java devs always impress me :)
All best of luck, -mattataki
Okay. It works for me. Not in basicly but with multiverse yup.
@Zen00
Hopefully something I can fix in the next update, I need to set the cave probability to 0 when lakes are being generated, I know of two possible ways to do this and will be testing each.
Nice plugin thnk ,but on mcpc+1.7.2 forge 1065 generation of world is slow-its create some lugs.(sory for my english)
One thing that needs doing, caves need to be generated before lakes. As is, you tend to find lakes with "worm tunnels" running through them from cave generation after lake generation all over.
Uploaded SkyStone 3.2, just a minor update due to being time-poor. Hopefully I can do some larger changes in 3.3 :)
@WhitmanCH
Have multiverse installed then when you install this type /mv create nameofworld normal -g SkyStoneGen then it'll make the world! :)
could somebody link to me some photos or a vid on how to install this? I do not understand.
