i know, but i don't want to use chest... look: i'm using this for tf2, but if you open an chest, you can put weapons in it, and others can pick it out... and i want snowballs because arrows stay stick in the player... than they can't be 'invisible' anymore.... (spy)
@MineStijn2
Within the config enable ammo chests and disable arrows/fire charges(fireballs). So that snowballs are the only form of ammo accepted. The skulls will then only shoot snowballs.
use_ammo_chests - true
allow_fire_charge - false
allow_arrows - false
allow_snowballs - true
Could you add that the skulls only shoot snowballs? (that you can choose the particle in config)
Hi, this is a cool plugin.
I can only get crazed skulls to really work.
Devious, master, and wizard wont shoot at anything, pigmen or creepers I have tried.
EDIT: Found out what the bow does.
THX man no you answered my question :3 i like that i just wanted to make sure it wasnt a glitch and was intended, Plus if its not already in the config maybe add a feild of veiw config file XP
@DELETEDSTARKO
Depends on what you mean by not facing that direction. If the target is behind the skull then yes. The skull has to see the target to shoot. Basically a line a sight is drawn from the skulls eyes to the target. If the skull is facing in the opposite direction then the line of sight is drawn through the skull and this is considered an obstruction. As intended it wont shoot, this is why skulls are designed to patrol. It allows the skulls line of sight to change. A skull has at least a 180 field of view and at most about 210 or so. But they dont have eyes in the back of their head so to speak :)
If you mean something else by direction then it could be a number of things, like the skull has another target, or the skull does not have that mob type as a valid target, maybe its out of ammo. Hard to say, I need more info to respond. Helpful stuff would be, version of plugin, version of craftbukkit, any error messages, permissions settings, config settings, etc.
I will say this, I have some 48 skulls set up in various scenarios on my dev server and they are happily annihilating all mobs spawned near them.
Quick question the master skull doesnt instantly shoot arrows at an enemy if its not facing that direction,my question... Is this intentional?
@dragonl
Beta 2 will have a config option to allow Crazed and Devious skull types to target all players except their owner. But they will have no way to set friendlies so if you want that sort of granularity to targeting, then Master and Wizards are the only way to go. Not going to change that.
Hi I have a question. It can not be set to the turrets attack Craze and Devious players too? = (
Or the Master Wizard and turrets work automatically. My idea is to keep other players strengths PVP events, without the owner of the tower have to shoot with the magic bow.
Hey, could you attach source to this project, I really want to see how it works. Thanks!
@kaitox
Too much has changed to backport the new features. I wouldnt even know where to begin... Sorry...
I am still running and playing 1.7.2 at this time. Are there any chances of new features making it into that version?
Thank you very much :)
@airport33
I see, I think the server might still be trying to get the UUID from the Mojang profile server. Its possible its a bug. I've been testing this with my next build Version 0.32b1 and it was throwing null exceptions when I tried offline mode. I believe I've fixed it and I'll pm you about it.
Yes, disable_permissions_checks is "true"
Is there a way to add non Premium Players ? Just a List with Player Names, not with UUID. Yeah, my server is just a small Hamachi Server for Friends. I dont have 2 Premium Acc's so i could not try it.
If i start the game non Premium with other name, and add my Premium Acc (I get the Massage with my UUID), start the game a second time (now with Premium), Connect to the Server and Walk infront of the Turret he dont start to attack me.
Sry my English isnt the best (German) i hope you understand what i want to explain...
Want some Screens ?
@airport33
Just thought of one more thing, you said you have no permissions, have you turned off permissions in the skullturret config? disable_permissions_checks: true
@airport33
It depends on if all your players are OPs are not. It should work for targetting player in no permissions mode but only for non-op players.
Also, there correct command for adding a specific player would be:
/skull add enemy player johndoe
but adding all players with /skull add enemy player should work regardless of uuid.
Lastly, from the way you posed your question I'm guessing your server is offline. In this case I'm not completely sure what will happen to the UUIDs if you add individual players to the target lists. I believe bukkit makes up UUIDs on the fly. So they may be the same for every session or they may not. If its the case that they are different; I suppose you are correct it would only be able to target players who have registered Minecraft accounts, ie Premium. Simply because your players have different UUID's every time time they log into your server. But thats just a guess, I have not tested that scenario in the current dev versions.
Sounds like you have a pretty unique setup, offline and no permissions. I think those two together is what the problem really is...
Doesnt work for me :/ The Turret Attacks Mobs like Creepers and Skeletons but ignores the Players /skull add enemy Player doesnt work. /skull add enemy PlayerName doesnt work too.
Does the Turret only attack Premium Members? (cause UUID)
I dont use a Permissions Plugin, just - Craftable Backpacks - CraftArrow - HealthBar - Lift
@kaitox
No problem, lot of info to take in all at once.
I kind of think of the wizard skull as a support skull for the other skulls. Wizards soften up and weaken mobs, the other skull types do the heavy work. Its not really an upgrade for the master, more a specialization. a companion to the master skull.
Okay the mistake was mine in reading through to fast. I did not stock it with potions I was under the impression of them all using arrows and the pots were an optional bonus ammo.
