heh, wouldnt that be a really specific requirement... No, rotation does not matter. Make sure that the enemy your skull targets can be harmed by a harm potion. Some mobs like Zombies for instance can only be hurt by heal potions. Wizards are smart enough to only attack with the correct potion type.
For my wizards I usually provide as complete a selection of potions as I can in my ammo chests. Also, I've just tested this feature on the latest available craftbukkit build and can not reproduce the issue. Mobs are targeted and potions are used to attack per the design spec.
@arcvvolf
I had a chest layout like that, and I had splash potions of harming in the chests. Also, I meant does the chest have to be rotated a certain way.
@stormchaser206
See the Crafting info page for chest layout. Wizard skulls require specific splash potions to work. See the Usage help page for that.
For some reason, my skulls aren't throwing their potions. They wait until it is almost low, then throw out an arrow. The wizard skull has an ammo box. Do the chests have to be placed a certain way or something?
@Gitany
Strange, nothings been changed with targeting since early alphas... make sure the config does not have use ammo chests enabled. Or if it does provide the skulls with ammo. Also, the only_watch setting must be false too or skull will only track targets but never attack. The firing range could be really small too. Hard to say really, basically it sounds like a config issue though. Just to be safe though you could delete the whole skullturret directory and let it regenerate. Its up to you how you want to go about finding the cause.
About all I can help with if there is no error message.
Im using the latest version and the turrets doesnt seem to target anything, crazed and devious wont target mobs :(
@acmr212
You could name your pet with a name tag or leash them and they wont be shot at by master or wizard skulls. Also, even if I did add support for mypet, I doubt I will be changing the intelligence of the lower level skulls. Thats why they are low level. They're dumb... lol
ADD mypet support please, they keep killing my pet :l
Yeah I'm trying to make using skull turrets easy as possible on the server if you can add or change the commands so that when a player uses /skull add friend PLAYER (playerName) without selecting a skull it applys to all skulls because I made it so people use a command to get an already set up skull turret book to target all players and bad mobs so all they need to do is use that command but then they got to run around and pick every skull turret just to add a new friend! I rather they not have to adjust the AI of the turrets and get a new book just to add their friends. It gets confusing for them, I even set up a custom recipe to directly get a master skull and disabled the others.
Love your plugin, but I think you should add the option to blow up the skull turret [true/false] with tnt or entity attack explosion. So enemies cant break turret to get skull but can only blow it up. It actually "works" now players can blow up the skull turrets, sadly it spams massive error messages in the log, even when a Ghast blows them up (again i want explosions to destroy them) you could use 4 new settings: can be destroyed with tnt:[true/false] can be destroyed with mob explosion:[true/false] creepers target skull turrets (when hit):[true/false] ghasts target skull turrets (when hit):[true/false] P.S. I used another plugin to directly craft the master skull because i dont want the other skull turrets and wanted to use a different recipe and it worked great! THX FOR MAKING THIS PLUGIN!!!!
When i try to do a command for this it says You must click a skull first i dont get it i tried to right-click
@HopiBr
ops are like vanilla minecrafts version of admin. Therefor if you are an op then you have all permissions. So this plugin respects that and give your ops all skull turrent permissions, including skullturret.ignoreme permission. Meaning under no circumstances will a skull ever target an op. If you want them to be targeted then they can not be an op. Its an all or nothing with ops. Off or on. I recommend if you want to have more fine control of how skull turrets work to use a permissions plugin instead of minecraft ops. ops permission are just too limited. Sorry.
Help please, i have a little problem in permissions, my english is very bad, sorry I can make the turrets shoot at players, but they do not shoot at players with OP permission, how can I make them shoot at OP's?
@bossomeness I ran into the same problem with my arena, and what I ended up doing was using this plugin (http://www.curse.com/bukkit-plugins/minecraft/serversigns). I had my sign execute a command to give the player a skull, but cost them an item that only that class had. Then I used Mob Arena's class permissions and and the Server Sign's permission system to make it so that only that class could use the sign.
@bossomeness
No, there is no way to access custom plugin recipes like that through the bukkit api. I believe if you have a plugin which allows for execution of console commands you could rig up a redstone button to run the /sk give command on a per player basis. So if they push the button it gives a skull. Thats the only thing I can think of... and thats untested. Just a thought.
Would I be able to give a skull in an Essentials Kit or MobArena Kit?
@arcvvolf
