with the fake join/leave can u make it so you can use a command for it. for example typing /fakequit notch will broadcast a message to the server "notch has left the game" and typing /fakejoin notch will broadcast "Notch has left the game" also could you make the text configurable and enable color code support.

By now the fake quit and join messages are configurable and support color codes :) .

But you want a command to place them at will, if i understand right.

I would most likely use the same text for the command based message as for the standard fake message.
