SimpleJailr
Simple Jailr
What it does
It allows you to build a jail however you like and gives the commands to throw a player in jail for eternity or a set time. It prevents placing/breaking of blocks and usage of just about any item while jailed. It stops commands being used, except the /jail command (so they can see the time they have left with /jail info). It also (optionally) stops chat. Fully complete with permissions.
How it works
When a person is jailed, they are teleported to a set of coordinates. When they are set free, the plugin executes the command(s) that are in the config to do whatever you wish (by default it does /spawn).
Features
- Full block/item use protection
- Prevents commands from being used (except for /jail commands)
- Timed jail sentence with auto release or an eternal sentence option.
- Works on both online and offline players
- Admin defined jail point and leave commands
- Optional chat blocker
- Optional time extender (for those who try to break/place blocks)
- Fully customizable languages (in the config file)
- Does not use a database (only a simple file with the name and time they are locked up until)
- Logs who added/removed each player with the duration in the server.log file
The set up is
- Copy the plugin to your server/plugins folder
- Restart/reload (restarting is better) the server
- Give yourself perms for admin at the least
- Change any config.yml options (or change em in-game via the admin commands
- If any options were changed directly in the config.yml, restart/reload
- Enjoy!

@mdcollins05
that would be good too... actualy that would be great
@hungoverfurbal
What if I added an option to set a global jail release point (instead of the command)? I'd rather not store individual location info for each jailed player.
is there any way you could add in support for it to tp them back to the point they were at when jailed, or at least to the spawn point with out using the /spawn command? because we don't let our player have /spawn normally.
@Jamesst20
It doesn't tp a player back, it instead uses a command (defined by /jail set leave or in the config). You may want to use spawn or a warp point depending on what plugins/commands players have access to.
Like put doesn't tp back when user Released.

I couldn't find an example of their file format, but it may be easy to convert. Do you have an example entry I could look at?
can i use or convert the jail.yml from simplejail so i can use this plugin instead ?
Simplejail hasent been updated for a while and isent working correctly anymore (i cant unjail players anymore)

I have yet to do any SQL in Java, but this may be the way to learn. I'll look into it!
Wouldn't Mind SQL, as then i can continue displaying my Jailed players on the website.
