What can I use this for?
Simple Backup is a plugin to zip up your minecraft server worlds to a folder so you can:
- Let your users download them via file sharing websites such as mediafire
- Roll back your map
Commands:
- /sbackup - Force a backup of your world by running. Can only be ran by OPs or from the server console.
Providing error reports:
When pasting large amounts of text please use http:pastebin.com or http:dev.bukkit.org/paste/. They are completely free and makes it easier for me to read any error messages you provide.
Also provide your SimpleBackup config file and the version of the plugin you are using, when stating you have a problem, so I can see if that's the problem instead.
Configuring:

Rolling Back Maps:
Click here for how to roll back your maps.
Updates:
This plugin is generally updated when a significant change (new features or bugfixes) has been made to it. The plugin uses only a small number of very basic Bukkit API calls, so it most probably won't break on Bukkit updates. If it does break, we'll update it as soon as possible.

How many backups does it store before deleting the oldest ones? Maybe an option to set the amount?
@genesis_aix
Updated to the R3 Build, and added that option for you, you can change it in the config.yml if you wish.
Just awaiting the newest version to be approved, I explain how it works in the change log of the newest upload but ill post it here so you can see it.
Changelog
Added an option to delay the map backup when the server is started, it will backup at the next scheduled time. In the config.yml you can change this by modifying it to true or false:
delay-first-backup: false
Explanation: If delay-first-backup is set to true it will delay the backup by the ammount specified by backup-interval-hours. So if you start your server at 12 AM with a 1 hour delay, the backup will commence at 1 AM and continue to do so every hour.
If delay-first-backup is false, the plugin will behave as before this update, backing up the map when the server is restarted. (Feature requested by genesis_aix)
Working on a craftbukkit-1.1-R3 edition?
Could you make it possible to delay the first backup it makes when starting the server?
@Jselbyonbukkitdev
Could you show me your config file please.
