Simple Player Tracker
Description:
Right click on a compass to bring up a gui and chose a player to track. if you want to change what player you are tracking just hold shift then right click.
Commands:
/ptcompass - gives player a compass
Permissions:
pt.track - Allows players to use the compass
pt.bypass - Stops a player from being tracked
pt.compass- Allows player to use ptcompass command

Posted Feb 7, 2021I have an idea to add to the compass. if you could you still have the compass tracking feature in the nether/End because currently, we can see how far they are but not in any specific direction. if not it's fine but this mod is awesome I've been looking for something simple but great.

you put the plugin in the plugins folder of your server then you give the players the permissions using a permissions plugin and then right click compass

no errors in the logs, I'm running a paper server on 1.16.4. The compass tracks perfectly fine in the overworld, but when I enter the nether it just spins. I know that the 1.5 build had the compass enchant when entering the nether (I know the enchant had nothing to do with performance of the plugin) but it doesn't even do that anymore. I love this plugin and use it for a multitude of servers I run (SMP's, Manhunts, etc.) Please let me know if you need anymore information

what are your config settings
do you have min and max distance set to 0?
if you dont see this option in config you can delete the config and restart server

Yes I do have the config file, this is what everything is set to (copy and paste of config file)
#Shows how far player is away in blocks
showdistance: false
#Max distance it will track (0 is infinite)
maxdistance: 0
#Min distance it will track (0 is infinite)
mindistance: 0
