Simple Player List
Main | Installation | Configuration
Description
Simple Player List is the successor to OnlinePlayers. It is a plugin which collects the currently active members on your server and sends the information to a webpage that can be viewed by the public.
It displays whether or not the server is online, the users who are currently online (if any) and the number of users online out of the total that can be online.
There are two configuration files. One for the Bukkit plugin, so that it can connect to the PHP script. The other is to configure the functionality of the actual list display.
Permissions support (which is entirely optional), to enable the creation of custom ranks. You can create as many ranks as you want, and call them whatever you like. The purpose is to add a little tag, or prefix before the user's name in the player list.
Features
- Automatically updating active player list, viewable as a webpage.
- Permissions support for custom ranks. (Optional)
- Easy to configure with simple and explained config files.
- Status of the server is displayed as offline or online.
- Run on ANY Server. The server can send the list to any website or computer that has the correct php files. This means if the physical Minecraft server is off, the scripts can still run and display that the server is offline.
- Compact display. No confusing extra crap around the page to distract from the real purpose of the list.
- The ability to display a users skin face next to their name.
- The format of the list can be altered and parts removed to get exactly what you want.
- Give your users ranks with the config.yml file and simple permission nodes.
- Simple Prefix (link) integration. If you are running Simple Prefix, users prefixes will be used as ranks.

Change the permissions of the data file
Hi,
I have a wordpress site with a minecraft template. How set i the player list in my sidebar. Site: www.nlsurvivalcraft.nl
Right on the side!! It is dutch server :)
Geets, Coen
Could you make an option so that the plugin will only save to a file, and when you reload the index page (with F5 or the url, like normal) the page will display the data of that file, instead of using javascript. It would be more convenient for me. <
-Don't worry I figured out this part myself, tho other people might not->Also I tried making a javascript for making a "Show Players" button (No player list is shown until you click "Show Players") , but your code was too complicated for me. :P
Thanks for the plugin.
@TheRedRosePalace
You must adjust the permissions.
In cPanel (If using web host):
File Manager->Change Permissions
In Linux Command Line (If using VPN/Hosting own server):
chmod 666 config.php
@deantonious
Go to data.txt in your webserver and delete one line with a text editor.
@Kartikitrak
Yes, you would need to set up an Apache web server with PHP. Hosting a web server may violate your ISP terms.
I highly recommend getting a free web hosting such as x10 hosting (no ad intended), which you can upload the files.
@Zilacon
Why am i getting 2 of them?
Go to data.txt on the webserver and delete a line. It is a known bug trying to be fixed.
Also it seems no one else can access the page but me, maybe because im on the local network? But it still should view for other people...
Try moving it to http://apocgaming.org/status instead of http://apocgaming.org/minecraft/status as I cannot access /minecraft at all.
@Zilacon
Make sure you edit the config.php and config.yml correctly.
Check if:
The passwords match in both files
The address points correctly
Your site looks like the configure.php hasn't been set up yet.
I am going insane here! I have been trying to get this to work for 11 hours now!
20:16:53 [INFO] [Simple Player List] Can not connect to: http://apocgaming.org/minecraft/status/receiver.php
It keeps spamming this, but the file is there! I can access it right now!
And this is what it shows up like on my website: http://prntscr.com/qx41z
Please reply and shed some light on this.

I checked my server settings and its not server side it is definitely the script itself...

Is it possible to host this off the minecraft server. Similar to Dynmap, which doesn't require a webserver, could you make it so, you just type serverip:1234 and it will take you to an empty page which includes the playerlist. If this is possible already, could you please show me. I will be eternally grateful :D
@Thomx
Click on the link you just posted, it goes to a 404 page, that's why it doesn't work.

I'd like to make a request.
Could you send an update showing the Version of the server, as a "Template" constant?
I appreciate your great work! Congrats.
Thanks again, Cya
When I get into http://mydomain.com/playerlist/index.php, the box is duplicated! How I resolve that?
