Simple Player List
Main | Installation | Configuration
Description
Simple Player List is the successor to OnlinePlayers. It is a plugin which collects the currently active members on your server and sends the information to a webpage that can be viewed by the public.
It displays whether or not the server is online, the users who are currently online (if any) and the number of users online out of the total that can be online.
There are two configuration files. One for the Bukkit plugin, so that it can connect to the PHP script. The other is to configure the functionality of the actual list display.
Permissions support (which is entirely optional), to enable the creation of custom ranks. You can create as many ranks as you want, and call them whatever you like. The purpose is to add a little tag, or prefix before the user's name in the player list.
Features
- Automatically updating active player list, viewable as a webpage.
- Permissions support for custom ranks. (Optional)
- Easy to configure with simple and explained config files.
- Status of the server is displayed as offline or online.
- Run on ANY Server. The server can send the list to any website or computer that has the correct php files. This means if the physical Minecraft server is off, the scripts can still run and display that the server is offline.
- Compact display. No confusing extra crap around the page to distract from the real purpose of the list.
- The ability to display a users skin face next to their name.
- The format of the list can be altered and parts removed to get exactly what you want.
- Give your users ranks with the config.yml file and simple permission nodes.
- Simple Prefix (link) integration. If you are running Simple Prefix, users prefixes will be used as ranks.

To Do's
- Order the players in the list by their ranks.
@mantegudo
I've fixed the colour issue by myself... now the issue is with duplication, it's showing the server twice!

www.mestrecraft.com.br/playerlist
Thanks! :D
@ianklask
Okay I did this, in my config, and I also made sure everything matched up. I made everyone have permissions to read and write(in case of permission error) and it still just shows up as a green orb : and /.
See here: http://kylem.in/playerlist/
@snowsilk
Just open the data.txt and remove one of the lines.
Hey
I would like to know why it shows 2 time on a page ....
I would like to have it only shows 1 time on a pade .....
You can see it on http://silks.dk/playerlist/
Sorry about not replying sooner, the output for the file would be as follows: When 'request.php?users=all' is entered 'user1,user2,user3' is returned. When 'request.php?users=user1' is entered 'online/offline,image(face),other info' is returned. When 'request.php?server=all' is entered 'online/offline, no. Players, capacity' is returned When 'request.php?server=max_players' is entered 'the max no. Of players' is returned
@KyleBoyer
I had that problem earlier but it was just because I had to edit the config file in my plugins folder to have the right IP and URL. The URL has to point to the receiver.php on your web server.
im having the same issue as kyle boyer http://www.mcblade.com/spl/
@Flabaliki Now it is completely blank... http://kylem.in/playerlist/
Server: mc.kylem.in
Also would being on a Macintosh affect it? Do I have to the the CHMOD thing? I set the permissions to every file in the web folder to everyone having read and write access.
@Flabaliki
The connection between the two are great. I disable your plugin (I assumed it was the faces part) and our lag disappeared completely.
Edit: tried the newest version you pushed out, still same issue. HUGE lag spikes on player entry.
@sephiroth7240 Open up data.txt and put a single space in it. Sorry, when I uploaded it, I meant to leave a space in it so it wouldn't create that error.
@KyleBoyer Can you link me to your list?
Help, I got it setup correctly, and Player List in the server console said enabled, but when I go to localhost/playerlist all it shows is:
[GreenOrb] : 0/
For some weird reason my question was deleted from this section... So ill ask it again
If you go here http://www.mcblade.com/spl/, you will get Warning: fread() [function.fread]: Length parameter must be greater than 0 in /home/mcbladec/public_html/spl/receiver.php on line 141
here are both the php files listed in the public_html AND the www/spl directory
http://pastebin.com/iRshdDJZ < public html/spl
http://pastebin.com/PHdwMmK5 < www/spl
@darkcloud784 No, it wouldn't be the faces. PHP and the webserver do that. The plugin sends the info to the PHP script; users, ranks, slots, port, etc. So if the connection between the two is slow, it will cause lag.
This has been causing SERIOUS lag on my server when people log in on our server. I'm assuming its due to the fetching of user faces.
@Flabaliki
Please help me! The color ranks aren't workin! http://www.mestrecraft.com.br/playerlist/
Thanks
@Flabaliki
http://www.ipb.igamers.es/ its not working for me =/, i did everything.... but the web dont show anything
@Dani70
You didn't copy the error. You copied where it was, but not what it was.
The plugin works correctly but there is this error given in my server log file:
@klaymator14 The table width changes depending on how long someones name is.
@darkcloud784 That's not even an error with this plugin. Nor did you even ask a question or post a report. You just dumped a completely irrelevant error in a comment. It says the problem quite clearly. "Failed to verify username!" It's a problem with your server and verifying names.
