Description
Ever wanted to move a mob spawner? With SilkSpawners, you can now pick up and move monster spawners.
If you use a pickaxe with the silktouch enchantment you will receive the spawner again.
You can control each mob spawner, allow crafting and of course mod support.

Commands
Only the bukkit permissions are supported!
I highly recommend that you use a plugin for permissions like bPermissions
If no permission system is found, all commands are for OPs only!
If you suffix a mob name with egg you will receive an egg instead.

/ss help - Displays the help menu.
/ss list|all - Displays all available creatures.
/ss view - Displays information about the viewed spawner.
/ss reload|rl - Reloads the configuration files.
/ss change|set <newMob> - Changes the spawner you are currently holding or viewing at.
/ss give|add <player> <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to the player. Amount is optional.
/ss selfget|i <mob> [amount] - Gives a spawner or egg to you. Amount is optional.

Known Bugs
- If sign shops are not working, you may want to try my custom sign shop addon: https://www.spigotmc.org/resources/12028/
- Mobs like Ghasts or Giants are too big for the spawner, this a Minecraft bug and I can't fix that
- Some older Essentials versions/ports are not updated properly for 1.8. There is a maintained fork called EssentialsX you should try.
- If you use Gui Sign Shop and users are unable to place spawners, you need to grant them the guishop.spawner permission from Gui Sign Shop
- Holographic Displays makes Slime spawners non functional
- UltraCosmetics, causes some spawners to non function: https://github.com/iSach/UltraCosmetics/issues/259

Disabling bStats
The file ./plugins/bStats/config.yml
contains an option to opt-out.
The following data is read and sent to https://bstats.org and can be seen under https://bstats.org/plugin/bukkit/SilkSpawners

Hello! I recently added some mods to my minecraft; mainly Forge and NEI (Not Enough Items)... The window of NEI shows all spawners now! Just amazing! I believe Forge does this, and it works in SMP (if you have the rights to spawn items though).

Have you granted the permission to craft and place spawners? So you could trick the /spawner command and craft a spawner and see if this works.

Yes, I am using the Bukkit Dev Build, which is 1.5 - also using version 3.2 of SS. Do you think it may be due to Essentials not being updated? Although the spawners aren't working either, so I don't know if that would be it or not.

I see what I can do, I believe this should be done in the next "bigger update".
I could add support for Creeper and TNT, with configured drop chanes.

Yeah, it was a Minecraft change! :)
The client seems to receive enough information now to update the spawner itself.
Before this I believe this was only achievable in resending the whole chunk, which is not a very good idea, due to performance.
I'm glad, too, that his has changed!

Yes, it's a feature, that the item is not longer named "Monster Spawner", it shows now the correct mob name in yellow.
You can disable this feature in the localization.yml, when you change the custom mob spawner name back to Monster Spawner (it's mentioned in the header [commented line])

I believe this needs to be done by TMI or any similar mod, I might test it again, if they show now the correct mob in the window.

Spigot #633 is for 1.4.7, with support to let MC 1.5 clients connect, but behind the scenes it's still 1.4.7
Either switch back to SilkSpawners 3.1 or upgrade your Spigot to fix this issue!

Before asking more details, are you using the latest CraftBukkit/Spigot builds of 1.5 with SilkSpawners 3.2?

so that you don't only get to hear suggestions/bugs here you have to work on... Here's a lovely thing which I don't know where it comes from (I don't know whether the plugin did this or minecraft did):
Before 1.5, when you spawned a spawner (NOT pig (pig = default) ) using /spawner and then placed it, you had to relog to see the correct mob inside of the spawner. Now, which I totally love, when you place it, you see the pig inside of the spawner for like 30 milliseconds and then it switches very quickly to the correct mob.

Is it possible to make eggs turn to spawners? Like if i use a zombie egg and right click it on the ground instead of spawning a zombie it turns into a zombie spawner? If so how do i change that in the config?

For some reason, when I get a spawner at first, it says its just a mob spawner. But once I place it and pick it back up, it will receive its name in yellow. Any suggestions or is it just a bug?

I believe this is not possible at all, but I still feel like asking this...
In Single Player, with TMI, you see (in TMI window) the spawner block of all mob types. I know for 95% this can only be done in multiplayer servers using a mod that makes it possible to change spawner types.

also it would be nice if the tnt had a drop % on the spawners cause i think 100% would defeat the purpose of other things on here.

i think it would be best to use a mob egg that drops as there really easy to put on shops and the actualy mob spawner i dont think can. I'd really like this for my raiding server

/SilkSpawners(/ss) do the same thing as when I do /spawner - I should also say that spawners are not spawning the correct mobs. They spawn the default mob(pigs).

I could think that you are running an incorrect version, too.
The code changes from 3.1 to 3.2 were just to make it work on 1.5 again, no permission changes!
What version of Spigot are you running? And using SilkSpawners 3.2?

Sadly I am running 1.5 spigot so it should work fine.

Same problem here. Maybe the "solution" I have found can help you, too. Although there is a new CraftBukkit version we have stayed on 1.4.7 ... because the new version is still a development one. This does not seem to be important for the auto-update feature of SilkSpawners. It updated from the working 3.1 to 3.2 which might be incompatible with 1.4.7
I have re-installed the SilkSpawners 3.1 and disabled the auto-update in the config.
The plugin was working fine and all of the sudden one of my staff said he couldn't place spawners, I was just poking around in the config and I changed the permissions part to enable in the config added all the nodes and he still couldn't place spawners, tried deleting the config then re-installing the plugin nothing. Also from the very beginning the spawners don't drop with the mobs name but as default spawners...

Well, I can't really place a spawner to test because I can't get one.. But one of my Moderators said Silk Touching it didn't work either. And yes, usePermissions is set to true.
