SignLink
We will no longer continue development of our plugins
We would like to thanx everyone for the support!
Development builds are no longer available after 15-10-2014 00:00
Plugin Name: SignLink
Bukkit: 1.7.2 R0.1/R0.2
Version: 1.34
Description
This plugin acts as a bridge between plugins and signs to easily display text on signs. Instead of entering commands, clicking the sign, or any other routine plugins could use, players can enter 'variables', key values starting (and ending) with %, to show information at that spot.
It also includes features no other plugin is needed for, such as custom text and ticker values you can set in values.yml. Signs are stored on file, they survive reloads and server restarts.

Commands
Configuration
The linkedsigns.txt contains information of where signs are located. The values.yml sets the (standard) usable keys.
# In here you can set default values for this plugin. # The ticker property can be LEFT, RIGHT or NONE and sets the direction message is 'ticked'. # tickerInterval sets the amount of ticks (1/20 of a second) are between the ticker update. # The value is the thing to display or tick. # To use colors in your text, use the § sign followed up by a value from 0 - F. # Example: §cRed to display a red colored 'Red' message. # You can find all color codes on the internet (they may use & there, ignore that!) sign: ticker: NONE value: This is a regular message you can set and is updated only once. test: tickerInterval: 3 ticker: LEFT value: 'This is a test message being ticked from right to left. '
Permissions and commands
Use /togglesignupdate to turn sign updating on or off, just in case someone made a huge amount of updating signs that causes lag. Two permission nodes (Bukkit permissions):
signlink.addsign: description: Allows you to build signs containing variables default: op signlink.toggleupdate: description: Allows you to set if signs are being updated or not default: op

HELP! when I build a sign with for example %date%, the sign dont change, there is just written %date%
BUT
in the chat there is written "You made a sign linking to variable: date"
i'm getting constant sign-breakage
i have a doublesign with 2 variables spanning both,
and 2 on the last lines not spanning
i often go back after a server reboot and the signs just say the variable names
i have tried reloading, does not fix
any suggestions?
@bloodsushi Use the 'BLINK' ticker mode (setTicker blink 5 - blink on / off every 5 ticks)
@P1G0M Just in case something messed up in the values.yml, use /variable edit hello set hello and see if that works.
@will97 Looks like I made a fail somewhere, you can fix it by changing the value of a variable to everything but empty. A single space will do as well.
hi when i start my server this error spams the chat:
Hello! I have the lastest version of SignLink and BKcommonLib. When I put a value in a sign, it doesn't show it...
I mean: I have a %value% set to "Hello", when I put %value% in a sign, it should appear the real value (Hello), but it doesn't. It stays with %value%.
What can I do? I need help!!
Thanks.
@bergerkiller
I have a suggestion. you could install in the next update, which can flash the text.
@NorbuGames Currently there is no way to 'change' a sign (as in, edit) since the functionality was broken for a while. If 1.6.1 allows it, we will look into rewriting this functionality again. If you meant placing a sign with a variable, it's on the main page.
@bergerkiller
What is the permissions for chaning a Sign
@paratr00p3r There is no method to do this (at this point) but it's a nice suggestion to add...it would involve command blocks to update though.
Is there a way we can make a sign show the output of a command?
I'd like some signs to show the output of "/bounty list" from HeroBounty instead of users typing the command.
It works now, thank's!
Welp time to re-upload again. Loaded and not loaded was reversed, so unload worlds caused massive error spam and updating was probably disabled entirely.
Hi When I put in %time% it changes the time but is static and doesn't update and when I relog... it changes back to %time%
@bergerkiller
Oh yes is see, Thanks for the reply back :D
@stanneman99 Yes, v1.32 had this issue, and v1.33 should fix that.
@exfabianex
I have a feeling you're running Bukkit 1.5.2-R0.1,
It clearly states BKCommonLib 1.51 is for CraftBukkit build 1.5.1-R0.2.
If you want to use BKCommonLib on 1.5.2-R0.1 then use the latest Development Build: http://ci.dj-tcraft.nl/job/BKCommonLib/
Note: Also, I am not the author of the plugin (You can ask me questions about it but just to let you know I am not related to any builds of BKCommonlib. Just putting this on the bottom so you know I'm not trying to take credit).
@harryjamesuk
Could not load plugins\BKCommonLib-1.51.jar in the folder plugins
This plugin is really useful, but wen i do like %time% then it just works. But wen i restart the server there is just standing on the sign %time% not like 10:09 can you help me? Anyway, Keep up the good work!
