SetSpeed

Table of Contents

This project is abandoned and its default file will likely not work with the most recent version of Minecraft. Whether this project is out of date or its author has marked it as abandoned, this project is no longer maintained.

SetSpeed is a plugin where one can edit how fast the player can run, fly, and swim. The multiplier will last until the server is turned off or the server is reloaded.

Commands

/sp <multiplier> -multiplies all speeds
/spa <multiplier> -multiplies all flying speeds
/spsp <multiplier> -multiplies all sprint speeds
/spsn <multiplier> multiplies all sneak speeds
/spw <multiplier> -multiplies all swim speeds

Permissions

sp.all
sp.air
sp.sprint
sp.sneak
sp.water

Note: Be careful when speeding up water speeds. I used a vector so the player will be constantly moving while in water.

I really, really want this mod to update. If anyone knows of a mod that can affect the swim speed of individual players, that would be amazing!

Yeah the swimming is really weird.
Here is the new project, i just updated it and removed the un-needed things.
Also gave you credit for this, and added you to the Authors list.

It is really buggy, and I was having trouble doing the fly/swimming speeds, although the running speed worked really well.

That's one of the reasons I dropped the project. I couldn't get it to work well, and I've moved on to other projects, specifically for Spout.

Okay, updated it to latest Craftbukkit build.
/spsn command didnt even exist, so i just removed it.

I personally love this plugin, but its really buggy..

All the people on the server has intense speed, but dont have permissions :O Please fix, LOVE THIS SO MUCH, AWESOME PLUG-IN :) ...... I did get mad when i saw him going so fast.... well, you get the point, Need it fixed bad. :(

Hi, your sourch code @github is only in .class files. Those cannot be read by anyone. Please change to .java file format.

I don't think I'll have time to implement that, because I am working on other plugins. Also, this plugin had several problems with it, so I don't think I will be working on this anymore.

Hey is it possible for the admin to set a speed for the players with a certain permission?

For example i have a race and they are water people, i want them it swim faster than the other races, can this be added in please.

Anyway this is a great plugin, the only one i've seen with a swim feature! Keep up the good work

Yeah I notice it too. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll see if I can fix it. I did test though and the running and sneak still work. And of course the swimming is kinda wierd. The reason its like this is because I am trying to make it without Spout.

Thats actually not true. This plugin gives the players the speed potion, which does increase the FOV, while increasing speed.

This plugin does nothing...

It only sets the field of view to a higher value and nothing more! Speeds are exactly the same

Thats not the purpose of the plugin. This is for server admins who want players to be able to run faster.
