SetRankPB
SetRankPB - Change ranks in-game
Version: 1.4 CB 1.3.1-R2
Features:
- Changes ranks in-game.
- Shows achievements to Spout players when their rank is changed.
- Lets players rank up themselves using iConomy.
Commands:
- /rank [Player] [Rank] - Changes a player's rank. Alias: /setrank
- /promotion [option] <arguments> - Lets players promote themselves using iConomy. Type /promotion in-game for more information.

Untested API:
Permissions:
- setrankpb.rankall - Ability to rank to all groups.
- setrankpb.rank.<group> - Ability to rank to a specific group.
- setrankpb.norank.<group> - Players with this node cannot rank a specific group.
- setrankpb.promo.price - Lets players use /promotion price <rank>
- setrankpb.promo.buyall - Lets players buy all ranks
- setrankpb.promo.buy.<rank> - Lets players buy a specific rank
- setrankpb.promo.whatami - Lets players use /promotion whatami
- setrankpb.promo.available - Lets players use /promotion available
NOTE: This is only working with PermissionsBukkit and SimplyPerms! There is a version for Permissions 3.x on http://forums.bukkit.org/

i need a new feature, the "buy rank option" has to split up in "setrankpb.iconomy.buy.<group>" i dont want, that a player can buy the last rank direct, they only have to buy all others between my first and my last rank.

Posted Nov 8, 2011On 1.2.1, I am unable to rank anyone even though I have the permissions.
It says "You have no rights to rank that player" (Somewhere along the line, I downgraded already)
Any help?

Ive been doing some testing this weekend and this seems to have broken the command.
When I type: /rank Notch citizen
The server responds with "/Rank (Player) (Rank)"
I did leave the old permissions in place as they looked identical to me. Any ideas?

UPDATE: I downloaded v1.2.0 and it works, v1.2.1 not working for me =(

+1 Great you can protect against promotion up but not great that lower ranks can demote higher ranks. Please impliment chuibys idea soon.
+2 Please also allow for ranking of players when they are offline.
+2 for lowercase ranking!
Please add those 3 things, they would make this plugin sooo much MORE epic!

Posted Oct 13, 2011Is it possible to make certain groups not able to change the group of i.e: admins.
Admin permissions:
- some.plugin.permissions: true
- setrank.protect.<group>: true # Protect rank being modified from X group
Owner permissions:
- some.other.permissions: true
- setrank.protect.*: true # Ultimate protection
- setrank.protect.owner: false # Allow owners to change ranks of other owners
That would be awesome.

Posted Sep 28, 2011EDIT: It appears that the plugin is working normally now, not sure what all that is about. I'm not sure whether anything I did has fixed the problem, so I can't report any specific issues to you for you to fix.
I'm having a few issues with this plugin. I am using PermissionsBukkit 1.2 and Superpermsbridge 1.2 in addition to your plugin. I have a player whose name starts with 'K' (note the capital). His name is listed in the PermissionsBukkit config.yml as beginning with a 'k' (lowercase). He is able to use all his allocated permissions correctly, which I would infer means that PermisionsBukkit is not case sensitive.
However, when I try to do '/setrank K... default' or '/setrank k... default'; rather than change his listing in the PermissionsBukkit config.yml, it creates a new entry with a capital K and sets that as being in the 'default' group.
So basically it would appear that PermissionsBukkit is case insensitive, whereas your plugin is case sensitive. Can you advise a solution at all? It would be greatly appreciated. I should probably add that using '/perms player setgroup K... default' and '/perms player setgroup k... default' both have the intended effect of setting the player's group; rather than creating a new player entry.
