IMPORTANT: NPC's won't do melee damage? In your config.yml file, toggle the setting that says "workaround damage" to true, and restart your server!

This isn't really related to the plugin, but what's the texture pack you're using?
Great Plugin . I did have one question though , when a guard kills his target I want him to return to his guard spot . is this possible

Hello,
I have a little problem with the plugin. After I enter the command: / trait sentinel and then hit the NPC, my server always crashes.
I'm using spigot 1.11 and all the sentinels do is punch! I recently updated to the newest version of sentinel. In the previous version zombies were throwing potions and punching. Now, skeletons and zombies only punch! No matter what the weapon is. What do I do?
I assume it's not possible to use Sentinel on spigot 1.8.x in combination with Citizens2 for 1.7.9, but will you make a Sentinel version for spigot 1.8.8? Due to several plugins, I'm unable to update the whole server sadly.

You can get the ID of a horse NPC after creating it via "/npc".
Is there a way to mount sentinels to horses? if not are there any plans on adding that feature later on?

You may have to delete your config and allow it to regenerate if you have an older config version, or you can quickly snag up-to-date config file data from https://github.com/mcmonkey4eva/Sentinel/blob/master/src/main/resources/config.yml
Of course, this option only works if you have a Sentinel version that has that in it. (Which might be 1.10 only, not sure if that was available in 1.9.4?)

I did have a problem however in that there's no option to remove death messages for me in the config? I've tried to reinstall it yet no option still. The only options I can change is the Sentinel defaults settings, random, the update rate, and the config version. Did something bug out on my end or am I able to manually add it in?

The chat page is best for quick help - though you have to be patient there.
For things like wanting a feature such as Towny integration, https://github.com/mcmonkey4eva/Sentinel/issues is best to request it or show your support for an existing request if one already exists. In this case, there's a really vague issue that you could expand upon and clarify in the comments of it.
As for death message: check the Sentinel config.yml file, there's an option for that.
I had two main questions/concerns about this plugin:
1) How do you turn off the death messages? I can disable the player death messages, however whenever an NPC dies their death is displayed in chat. It really clutters the chatbox.
2) Can Sentinel integrate with Towny much like Sentry did? The ability to create town specific guards would be fantastic, but I've yet to see a method to do so.
If I could have help that'd be fantastic! I tried the help chat website but was given no answers.
why replace sentinel sentry?
Will there be a version for 1.8.9? Also will there also be a cross compatibility support for 1.8 - 1.9 for Citizens? Thanks! :)

I've switched to 1.9.4 and Sentinel works perfectly fine, but this version breaks dtlTraders, which makes it impossible for me to stay on 1.9.4, since I rely heavily on NPC traders.
P.S.: And HyperConomy/HyperMerchant is just horrible, though I don't know if it works with 1.9.4 either. Could you suggest any other plugin with citizens npcs as traders? I don't seem to find any.

Update to 1.9.4 or more recent (1.9.2 isn't supported properly in Citizens) and then update citizens to the latest 1.9.4 (or more recent if you chose that above) version off of http://wiki.citizensnpcs.co/Versions
The issue with NPC pathfinding being borked is entirely within citizens, not sentinel
When a sentinel has a waypoint (set through /npc path), it gets stuck in the air
Normal NPC do not do that. Sentry npcs didn't do that too. Using Citizens 2.0.17 (build 1362), bukkit 4cb3258 (1.9.2) and Sentinel 0.5 (build 30) UPD: switched to build 36, as listed here, still not working, though I've tried other versions of Sentinel.
Any idea of why it doesn't work right?
