Basic description
You don't want to promote every user manually? You can't be 24h online to promote guests when they come for example at night? Then is this the best plugin to help you. The new guests have to enter a secret password wich is for example on you homepage in the rules, but you can also create a [Promote] sign wich the guests have to find in the map.
Supported Permission Systems:
- EssentialsGroupManager
- PermissionsEx
- bPermissions
- PermissionsBukkit
If you have an other Permission System please write it in the comments.
Könntet ihr machen das die die /pw ... eingeben müssen,dass die nicht chatten können?
is it possible to make a permissions node to promote not a password?
@fredghostkyle1
yes go into your bukkit.yml and make an alias but i add /rank in the next version ;)
is there a way to change the /pw to something like /rank?
I love the idea of this plugin. Is there any way you could build into it a way to have multiple passwords? So that each password would promote a user to a different group?
@Lukethenuke
Yes, of course it has an alias (/apply) but if you want i can add more. But every bukkit user can add own aliases in the bukkit.yml
@sacnoth0
please use the recommend build!
@TutorialMakerHD
Electric is asking if the command "/pw" can be changed to something else, like given an alias. So for example, I change "/pw" to "/p" in the config, save it and then restart the server. Now users can type "/p password" instead of "/pw password". I think its because there are some plugins that maybe use "pw" but I'm not sure.
@Electricfirebolt Sry i don't understand what you mean my english is not the best :D
@GBagley2 No sry, there is no permissions for that but i can add this in the next version.
Is there any possibility of being able to allow us to change the command in which individuals have to say?
Is there a permission or way to stop the Member from using the /pw command again?
SelfPromote v2.1 is out i've fixed the permissions bug and a little other bug!
@Lord_Majh
Sorry, i fix this bug in the next version!
I've noticed that on the permissions page the unlock permission node is listed as...
selfpromote.unlock.pw
it is actually...
selfpromote.pw.unlock
That may be the source of some of people's problems. :)
@Lord_Majh
having the same problems
After attempting each way of promotion (and attempting all of the different permission nodes for the promotions) I still cannot have my users get promoted. It simply says they do not have permissions. Only OPs can use the promotion signs (I didn't test the /pw commands with OPs, but it is probably the same). Any suggestions? My permissions file is correct, I am using bPermissions.
I've edited the thread completly, because i've recoded SelfPromote from scratch. Please delete you old configurations and change the permissions to the new permissions!
