ShowCaseStandalone is like ShowCase but without the dependancies, and a more efficient way to create shops. With SCS, you can buy, sell, and display items, which float above blocks. You can use most of the major economy and permissions plugins with this, along with some special options for Towny.
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk.

Metric
This plugin utilises Hidendra's plugin metrics system, which means that the following information is collected and sent to mcstats.org:
- A unique identifier
- The server's version of Java
- Whether the server is in offline or online mode
- The plugin's version
- The server's version
- The OS version/name and architecture
- The core count for the CPU
- The number of players online
- The Metrics version
Opting out of this service can be done by editing plugins/Plugin Metrics/config.yml and changing opt-out to true.

Hi, I'm using the last version of SCS (050, with defaut config) and the last of NoLagg (1.49.2, with defaut config too). I still have problem of droping item. When loading SCS, everything works, but after a moment, item are dropable...
Any solution? Thanks!

The Mysql backend is coming. The suggestions sound good to me, so we'll see about putting some or all of them in.
Two suggestions that imho would be great:
Allow shops that have 0 items and price set to 0, optionally not to display a message, or to display a custom one. People could use those for nice simple showcases, instead of out-of-stock shops.
Allow the creation of a shop with the "units" fixed in it, not depending on the user to use the "/scs unit" command. This way we could create side-by-side shops: i.e. one for unit, another for like 16 items, one last for a stack, no need for the user to type commands, only use the proper shop. Or, add aliases like "/buy [<amount>]", and "/sell [<amount>]".
MySQL backed for the shops could be handy too.
The server crash bug was a product of a thread bug that was fixed in build 50.

May I bring your attention to a server-crashing bug? http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/scs/forum/27936-startup-problems/#p2 is the original thread. They symptom is that the "[ShowCaseStl] Attaching to existing item." message gets spammed, and then the server completely freezes (with no crash message.) I looked at your code in Shop.checkItem(), and while I was unable to fix the bug, I suspect the crash has something to do with either A) downcasting an Event to an Item or B) some exception that's causing the server crash, but is unseen in the console because you don't do ex.printStackTrace() in the catch statement.
Also, if I wanted to contribute to this plugin, how would I go about doing that? Pull requests? Bug fixes?

put a block right and left of the blown up shop block, then select them with worldguard
and set the block id to any you want, after that you should be possible to remove it.
We are also working on points like that ;)
I'm curious about what the process is if the showcase "pedestal" gets blown up. I tested having a creeper blow up on of my showcase shops, and now I cannot put any blocks back where it should be (they just disappear) so I cannot /scs remove the shop. Also, the "floating" block just keeps bobbing around in the general area of where the original shop was, but again, won't disappear. Is there a way to force removal of the shop?
I think spout items may be on the horizon - when we get a solid plugin with few/no issues. We're still ironing out some small kinks. I know I'll be doing some spout work, so when i do, i'll try to add it to the plugin.
P.s. there have been pretty substantial changes made to the plugin in development. Keller has completely rewritten much of the internals, I've added features, security, etc. We have more stuff and testing to do, so sit tight because its coming soon.

Just create a shop, with the item, then collect the item with "/scs get".
Then you have a shop, which is selling for example redstone, but it is empty
and so it can't sell anythink to anyone.

Can you make a feature to show the item in the showcase but deny the buying or selling of it??
I use this plugin just to SHOW the items that are sold by NPC's inside a shop :3
I use it with PEX all the time. Question: make sure you install the permissions compatability plugin that pretends to be perms 2.7, or make sure that PEX is supporting BukkitPerms. I know that PEX disabled bukkitperms for a late dev build, but they're putting it back in for 1.6.
Would like to use this but the commands are not working :( using pex for admin * iconomy6 and last version of showcase standalone. no errors in log. It just give the error form unknow command: error: Incorrect or missing parameters. See /scs help for more information. /scs help give the same error all scs commands..

If you're only selling one item (the one displayed), then you don't need a chest. Items are simply added or removed from the showcase. If you want to show more than one item, this showcase wouldn't work for you, because it can only show one thing at a time.
Because they don't show the item to sale and I'm looking for a simple plugin to understand for users.
But that would defeat the point of the showcase, if more than one item was for sale at each shop. The point is to display the item for sale.
There are many chest shop plugins available. Why not use one of them?
I want users sell resources they have ^^
