I have resumed development of this plugin (as of 6/11/17).

Need a plugin that can add prefixes or suffixes to a player's name? Want to change the display of player names in chat? Want a simple, easy to use private message system? This plugin is for you.

This is a simple and easy to use chat plugin. sChat can add prefixes/suffixes to player names, add colors to player names, provide a simple and easy to use whisper/private messaging system, and mute/unmute players. If PermissionsEx is installed, and you have defined prefixes and suffixes for certain players or ranks, this plugin will use those. In the following priority list, the condition that is true and whose number is the highest is chosen. The prefix/suffix priority ordering is:

1. sChat group suffix/prefix (exists)
2. sChat player suffix/prefix (exists)
3. PEx group suffix/prefix (exists)
4. PEx player suffix/prefix (exists)

Developer API!
There is a "listener" in progress that can be integrated in other plugins to be alerted when someone chats. It will tell WHO chatted, the MESSAGE, and the TYPE of chat (pm/whisper, broadcast, world, global, area). More info can be found here.

Dependencies
Currently, the only dependency is sLib, the main library for all plugins in the "s" suite. Once sChat or any other s'plugin' is used, sLib will be downloaded automatically on the next server start.

sChat is a compilation of many favorable features from different chat plugins (Essentials, mChatSuite, HeroChat) all in one.
