External Connections |
---|
Safe Creeper makes some connections to external servers. One of these connections is to dev.bukkit.org itself. Safe Creeper uses this connection to check whether there are any updates available. Safe Creeper is able to download these updates automatically from the dev.bukkit.org servers. Since Safe Creeper 1.5.2.3, Safe Creeper is also posting anonymous statistics to statistics.timvisee.com. This post request contains little information about the plugin and the server it´s running on. This request contains the version of Craft Bukkit, the version number of Safe Creeper, and the amount of online players, this post request may also contain additional information coming from Safe Creeper itself, like the amount of Creeper´s nerfed by Safe Creeper. A server address is not included because the statistics system is anonymous. The Safe Creeper statistics system will send the server´s address if enabled in the configuration file. This statistics system has been implemented to give people the ability to see how many servers Safe Creeper is running on. And to give an overview of the global usage of certain Safe Creeper features. All these systems could be disabled in the configuration file. Safe Creeper does not connect to any other external server than the two described above.

Hello,
Yes I'm very sorry, indeed I didn't put any documentation about this on this page yet. Please take a look at this comment, I've explained it in here a bit:
http:dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/safe-creeper/?page=7#c336
There's way more stuff you can put in there, like world guard regions, mob arena regions, factions etc. I'm sorry, but I've to go to school now :(, if you want, I can explain it more when I'm back. If you don't understand how that thing works in that comment, tell me.
Hope this helps,
Tim Visée
Hi I cannot find an answer to this question anywhere on this plugins site. For the locations field, it seems like you have changed the format that it reads from when I was previously using this plugin.
To set the location of TNT's effectiveness, what should I put after Location: {}

Hello,
If you didn't find the answer yet, you can! Take a look at the 'World Configuration Files', you can find it on the bottom of the following page:
http:dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/safe-creeper/pages/the-config-and-global-file/
What WorldConfigurationFiles actually are is the global file for a specific world. You only have to put the stuff you change in the world file, all the stuff that you won't set is automaticly loaded from the global.yml file.
Hope this helps,
Tim Visée
I have read it wrong it can. srry
Can you maybe support Multiverse? its realy cool if you can set of tnt in a world and in another one you cant
@Femyself
Hello,
My first question is, do you mean server plugins. Sometime's it's a bit hard to understand what people exactly mean haha, cause you might mean server mods instead of plugins for CraftBukkit, because mods are not really supported.
Anyhow, about the server plugins, it's extreamly hard to make this, altough I really want this feature to be added. The point is that if some plugin create's an explosion Safe Creeper is not able to check WHAT plugin created the explosion, because of this the explosion is marked as 'Unknown'. There's a Control called OtherExplosionsControl, you can control all explosions created by plugins and by other unknown stuff using this control. If there is any way to check what plugin caused the explosion in the future, I will defenitly add this feature. It's also possible that the plugin creators create a hook into Safe Creeper to make an explosion through Safe Creeper, that will be possible. (soon).
Thanks for your suggestion.

Thank you for the report, haha.
I Might have a nice idea for this,
Some Mod-Implants?
So that if we use mods,that we can controll those explotions to? Like: The Nucleair reactor, The Nuke Bomb Industreal TnT
All that kinds of stuff?
Greetz.
Awesome! Thanks for your prompt response! :D

@Alexnyc8214
Hello,
The issue has already been fixed, it will be available in the upcoming update :)

@Alexnyc8214
Hello,
I'm pretty sure this is a bug in the file updater of Safe Creeper, I'm sorry for that. There's probably no way to manually fix this ussue. I will fix this issue in the next update.
EDIT: I assume this is happening in the global.yml file?
Btw, thanks for using Safe Creeper :)
If you have any suggestions for Safe Creeper that you might find useful for your server for example, tell me!

Hi timvisee,
I've been a loyal follower of this plugin for a long time. I love the new changes! However, I've noticed a minor issue... In my server, I have keeplevel to true when players die, because I hate how the xp loss works by default. Every time this plugin updates, it tends to keep switching keeplevel to false, yet everything else remains unchanged. Is there a way to prevent that from happening? Thanks and keep up the awesome work!
Safe Creeper destruction repair example and tutorial ^^
Tim Visée
@blixel0
Hello,
In Safe Creeper 1.4 the 'Destruction Repair' feature was included, what this basically does is that it repairs the damage creepers make by exploding (or TNT or fire for example), then this feature will rebuild the exploded area after some time. What Safe Creeper does is it remembers all the blocks that need to rebuild with for example the content chests should have. This data is saved each minute as you can see in the console, so if the server crashes you won't lose all the blocks that still need to be repaired because it will load it again on Safe Creeper start. If you are not using this feature, you can set the delay of this task to 60 minutes for example, so it will only save the data each 60 minutes, then you won't see all those messages again :).
To do so, go into the config.yml file of Safe Creeper and change the following value: 'tasks.destructionRepairSave.interval'. You should change the value of this node to '3600' because 3600 seconds equal to 1 hour. You can also make this value higher, it doesn't really matter. Can also set 'tasks.destructionRepairSave.enabled' to false, this will fully disable this saving tasks, but this is not recommended, because if you are going to use this feature some time it won't backup your data for the destruction repair!.
As soon as you have saved your change, you have to reload your server.
Hope this helps, :)

What is all this console noise in the latest update?
@Shaunbear
Hello,
Could you check if the skulls drop properly now? If not, you can now set 'AddToDrops' (or some similar node :$) to false, that will just drop the skull at the place a player or mob died instead of adding it to it's drops, that might solve the problem if it wasn't fixed already.
Hope this helps,
Tim Visée

Hello,
In the new Safe Creeper version 1.4 that has just been released the 'BedControl' has been added to the global.yml config file. Inside the BedControl you can now set if bed's can explode or not.

Safe Creeper v1.4 - Destruction rebuild, ...
Safe Creeper 1.4 has been released. With this update you can enable destruction rebuild for all the explosions and fire happening on your server. This means, that when you turn this on the damage explosions create will be reverted after a while, the destroyed world will slowly rebuild. A WorldControl has been added to manage some global world stuff like spawn limits, or default game rules. A WeatherControl has been added to change the way the weather acts in each world. You can fully disable the rain, you can make it shorter, so on and so on. A lot more features have been added, please check the changelog on the bottom of this message.
Download
Because the Bukkit administrators need to validate the new plugin files, the download might not be up yet. You can find the download link on the top-right above the sidebar on the main page.
How to update Safe Creeper from 1.3.6.9 or lower
Important! Different than before: If you have Safe Creeper version 1.3.6.9 installed simply use the command '/sc installupdate' to automatically install the update. If it doesn't work or when you have another version of Safe Creeper running, do the steps bellow: It's very easy to update Safe Creeper, the only thing you've to do is update the SafeCreeper.jar file. All your config files are automatically updated as soon as you restart the Safe Creeper plugin with the new .jar file. Also, all the new features are automatically added to your config files, so there's no need to fully set up all the config files again!
How to install Safe Creeper 1.4
If you haven't installed an earlier version of Safe Creeper on your server you've to do the following to install Safe Creeper on your server. The first thing you've to do is download the files of Safe Creeper 1.3.4. Inside this downloaded .zip file is a SafeCreeper.jar file. You need to place this file into your plugins folder of your server. Make sure you've shut down your server first. Then you also need to copy the Safe Creeper (from the downloaded .zip file) into your plugins folder, because this folder contains all the config files. If you are not able to add this folder you don't have to copy them. Safe Creeper will automatically generate it's config files if they aren't available on start up. Although I highly suggest to copy this folder if you are able to. After this you can make your changes in the config files if you want and you can start up your server again.
Change log for 1.4
@qwe26481592
Hello,
I've actually never though about this, I'll add this feature in the update that should be released soon. Btw, you can already block this explosion (temporarily) by disabling the destruction of 'OtherExplosions'.
Tim Visée
Will the 1.4.7-R1.0 the plugin settings world_the_end and the world_nether bed to prevent explosive box project.
