What is Safe Creeper |
---|
Control creepers, Withers, EnderDragons, Enderman, TNT, Fireballs and a lot more!
With Safe Creeper you can control creeper explosions and other things like, fireballs, TNT, Enderman and a lot of other things, you can set if a creeper explosions destroys blocks. You can set if Zombie's can break down doors. You can also set a lot of other things, the possibilities are almost endless! A few other examples are that you can set up if players are able to use TNT blocks, if creepers will explode above the surface and underneath they wont, set if Enderman can place and break blocks, even if they can clone blocks, explosion sounds, smoke effects and a lot of more things. External Connections |
---|
Safe Creeper makes some connections to external servers. One of these connections is to dev.bukkit.org itself. Safe Creeper uses this connection to check whether there are any updates available. Safe Creeper is able to download these updates automatically from the dev.bukkit.org servers. Since Safe Creeper 1.5.2.3, Safe Creeper is also posting anonymous statistics to statistics.timvisee.com. This post request contains little information about the plugin and the server it´s running on. This request contains the version of Craft Bukkit, the version number of Safe Creeper, and the amount of online players, this post request may also contain additional information coming from Safe Creeper itself, like the amount of Creeper´s nerfed by Safe Creeper. A server address is not included because the statistics system is anonymous. The Safe Creeper statistics system will send the server´s address if enabled in the configuration file. This statistics system has been implemented to give people the ability to see how many servers Safe Creeper is running on. And to give an overview of the global usage of certain Safe Creeper features. All these systems could be disabled in the configuration file. Safe Creeper does not connect to any other external server than the two described above.

Is there currently a way to change drops for charged creepers only?
@timvisee
I tried the update and it seems I'm still having the same issue of the plugin not working properly. I took a screenshot of the serverlog part for safecreeper. Not sure if this will help figure it out

About the first thing you mentioned, yes that's right. As it sais it's saving the Destruction Repair data at those moments. I don't know if you use the Destruction Repair feature of Safe Creeper, but it saves it's data each time. This is done so no blocks will be lost when the server crashes. The messages are popping up for a reason. For example, when the server crashes cause of the save (this should never hapend) you can easily see what caused the problem. That's what a log is for. Now if you aren't using this feature, you can disable the DestructionRepairSave task in the config.yml file. You can also increaste the time so less messages will popup. But be warned, you'll probably forget it that you disabled or changed the delay of this task if you are ever using this feature.
About your second thing, the enabled between levels thing has been removed half a year ago. It should have been removed from your config file, but that might failed, or you manually put it in there. Now to achieve the things you want, you could set it up like this:
http:pste.me/HhWS2/
I removed the EnabledBetweenLevels node, and I've edited the contents of the Locations node.
About the spelling, this is indeed wrong. I'm sorry for that. I'll change the name in an upcomming update, thanks.

Hey Tim
This server is running CraftBukkit version git-Bukkit-1.5.2-R1.0-27-gdc25312-b2815jnks (MC: 1.6.2) (Implementing API version 1.6.2-R0.1-SNAPSHOT) SafeCreeper v1.5.1.1 is loaded. I get tons of this in the log. Is that right? http://pste.me/EzapX/
Also I tried to set creeper world damage from level 20 to bedrock, but it seems to be ignoring the limitation. Creepers don't destroy blocks anywhere. My Global.yml is here: http://pste.me/XxEsQ/
Lastly I noticed this in the global.yml and I wonder if it has incorrect spelling on purpose? CostumExplosionStrength: or if it should be CustomExplosionStrength:
Thanks for the plugin, hopefully we can resolve my issue.
@LastTulare
Awesome, haha.

As the download page for 1.5.1.1 sais, you have to use CraftBukkit 1.6.2 or else it won'tt work properly (as you can see). So you have to downgrade Safe Creeper to version 1.5.1 and install 1.5.1.1 when you're going to update your server to CraftBukkit 1.6.2.
You can find all the downloadable versions of Safe Creeper on the 'files' page.

Hello, I am using Safe Creeper 1.5.1.1 for 1.6.2 version, but I still maintain Bukkit 1.5.2R-1.0, I will update because no update Safe Creeper would say there is an error and then function on the failure, appears after I updated the error but did not have a lot of great influence, but there are still influential on my computer.
Safe Creeper v1.5.1.1 - Minecraft 1.6.2 Patch
Safe Creeper 1.5.1.1 has been released. This version doesn't contain any new features, but this version is build against Minecraft 1.6.2. Previous Safe Creeper versions caused errors when being used for Minecraft 1.6.1 or above. It's highly recommended to update your Safe Creeper installation when you're running a Bukkit 1.6.2 server. Safe Creeper does automaticly update itself unless this feature is disabled.
Download
Altough Safe Creeper 1.5.1.1 is already released, the files might not be available on Bukkit already. The Bukkit administrators have to approve the new files. The files should be available within a day, you can always check the [files page] to check if the new files are available.
If you're using an ealier version of Safe Creeper, your Safe Creeper does automaticly update it self as soon as the new files are available (unless this feature is disabled in the config.yml file).
How to update Safe Creeper from 1.5.1 or lower
Important! Different than before: If you have Safe Creeper version 1.5.1 or bellow installed simply use the command '/sc installupdate' to automatically install the update. If it doesn't work or when you have another version of Safe Creeper running, do the steps bellow: It's very easy to update Safe Creeper, the only thing you've to do is update the SafeCreeper.jar file. All your config files are automatically updated as soon as you restart the Safe Creeper plugin with the new .jar file. Also, all the new features are automatically added to your config files, so there's no need to fully set up all the config files again!
How to install Safe Creeper 1.5.1
If you haven't installed an earlier version of Safe Creeper on your server you've to do the following to install Safe Creeper on your server. The first thing you've to do is download the files of Safe Creeper 1.5.1. Inside this downloaded .zip file is a SafeCreeper.jar file. You need to place this file into your plugins folder of your server. Make sure you've shut down your server first. Then you also need to copy the Safe Creeper (from the downloaded .zip file) into your plugins folder, because this folder contains all the config files. If you are not able to add this folder you don't have to copy them. Safe Creeper will automatically generate it's config files if they aren't available on start up. Although I highly suggest to copy this folder if you are able to. After this you can make your changes in the config files if you want and you can start up your server again.
Change log for 1.5.1.1
@LastTulare
Great! I hope Safe Creeper is able to help you with some features you need on your server. I'm uploading the 1.6.2 patch right now!
EDIT: The files have been updated, please check [this post] for more information.

@NukePenguin
Yes, sending your server log is fine!
Tim Visée
Just what Im looking for! I dont want creepers blowing up any world, but the main. Looking forward to your update timvisee (:
@timvisee
I see. Hopefully that works then. As for the error log, how do I get access to that? Or do I send you the server log info?
@NukePenguin
Hello,
1. Indeed, when you set enabled to false, every setting in the creeper control will be ignored, so the creepers will behave as normal. So indeed you have to set this to true to make the settings of the creeper control affect the behaviour.
2. This issue might be caused cause of 1.6.x, I'm planning to release a patch today.
3. You can ignore that 'Failed checking for updates!', this doesn't take effect on the plugin at all. My update checking server is currently a bit overloaded, I'm moving it to a different, stronger server so it won't fail checking for updates anymore. About that second error you mentioned, that's deffenitly not right. Could you send me the error log, because something is going wrong, it might be an error in your configuration files (make sure you don't use any TABS anywhere).
4. Your settings (the part you send) seem to be set properly.
So yeah, I expect nothing is working because it returns an error on startup, so could you send me the error log, so I can check out what happend. Again, it might be because of 1.6.x, a patch should be released today.

@timvisee
Thanks for the quick reply Tim! :)
1. I currently have creepercontrol set to false after having my values on "DestroyWorld" and "ExplosionRebuild" ignored. I assume false would turn them off? Regardless when I have it on true the "DestroyWorld" setting is on false but creepers still destroy blocks.
2. I was using version 1.6.1 and I just now tried it with 1.6.2. I still get the same results.
3. I have a line that says "Failed checking for updates!" and another saying "Error occurred while enabling SafeCreeper v1.5.1 <Is it up to date?>". I looked for any updates and I think I downloaded the latest version now but I still get the same results when I did another test.
4. "CreeperControl: Enabled: true" "ExplosionRebuild: Enabled: true" "RebuildDelay: 5"
And for Zombies I had this changed and it looks like this isn't working as well. "CanBreakDoor: false"
From reading the error, I assume the plugin isn't even being enabled anymore on my server?
@NukePenguin
Hello,
I've four questions for you. At first, is the Creeper control enabled? Second, are you using 1.6.1, it might be caused by this update, a patch will be released as soon as possible. Third, does Safe Creeper return an error when starting (check the server controle). Then, what values where changed?
