Runecraft
Runecraft is a gameplay modification for SMP, that adds magic to the game without any commands. Runecraft is the longest running Minecraft mod, dating back to the Alpha days. Runecraft boasts over 120 runes and is still under active development. Everything you need in one, immersive, magic plugin.
Magic is done through the form of "runes", significant shapes of materials laid out in the actual game world. These runes can create unique short-term tool enchants, teleporters, hidden walls/passageways, and even the ability to create mobile teleporting bases.
- Player built simple Teleporters that use unique combinations of blocks to identify destinations
- Specific enchantments for dealing with natural hazards (lava, floods, falling gravel)
- Magic blocks that flip between two blocks when you activate them, or reveal secret passages
- Redstone compatibility: allowing runes to be activated by redstone signals
- Multi-world support: all features are completely compatible with multiple-world servers
- Commandless setup: Runecraft is designed for minimum hassle in configuring it. plugin and go!
- Easy configuration: it's simple to disable a rune entirely, or a rune per person.
- Optional permissions compatibility
- Requires no client modification
Runecraft prides itself on its immersive nature, with no need for any slash commands. Everything can be done in-game by players, constructing the runes to create the effects they're looking for. Runecraft is an extremely popular addon for roleplay, PVP, and small servers because of it's out of the box ability to just be installed and start running, and covering a variety of pseudo-administrative and gameplay mechanics from an entirely in game point of view.

this error as well: http://hastebin.com/wiveyuhuzo.avrasm
what's up with this error? using 1.10.2 http://hastebin.com/ratijopuvi.avrasm
Hi! I love the plugin, but the wiki is a bit out-of-date. Are there any references that I can look at to investigate the newer changes that Runecraft 3 brought such as the transmutation rod other than the Release Notes or the wiki? Also, the dispel rune. I cannot get that one to work.
Is there any way to reset someone runecraft stats? As in resetting their Runic Energy to 0 or Resetting it completly to where they have to restart with the initiation rune?
@zhuohao
Runecraft 3.0.3 does work in 1.8.8.
Hi, is there any way for me to run this on a spigot 1.8.8 server ?
@InfinityAspire
None currently to our knowledge.
Are there any known conflicts of Runecraft currently?
@cgolesh
The plugin itself works on 1.9 through to 1.10.
update it to 1.10
@invalidusername1994
It should indeed work on 1.9.2! :)
will it work on 1.9.2 ?
thanks for answers :)
New Runecraft-3.0.5 build uploading! Soon to be released! :)
@Sen_isSaqqara
It will regenerate with other items burned. The more items you burn, in variety, the more the energy will go back to normal.
@Rivkiin
The log was too big to fit pastebin, so I hosted it on my server, Links seem to not work properly here, so go to http://www.zenotek.ca/Stuff/2016-05-19-3.log.gz
Good to hear you're working on the config thing. In the meantime, does the reward for burning a certain type of material regenerate over time, or does burning it just permanently decrease it?
@Sen_isSaqqara
"I've found that if the player connects with a modded client (in particular, LiteLoader) the energy bar does not show up for that player and the server starts throwing all sorts of exceptions."
This does not happen for me. The energy bar is around and the server throws no exceptions. I might know what is happening but I would have to see the error. Can you pastebin the error?
"When connecting with a vanilla client, the energy added by throwing things in lava decreases each time you throw something of a type. Not sure if that's intentional, and if it is, why?"
This is intentional. It is similar to eating the same foods continually in real life, you have to be diverse and have variety with what you throw away.
"Also, for what it's worth, my two cents on the energy system debate is that it's good, but could use waaaay more config options."
There are plans for having more config options for the energy system.
@SonicundMario
"When I click something I get the message "The aether cannot find your target" whats that about?"
This happens when you click something with a player head and that player is not on the server.
"Also is there some sort of tutorial and how do I know what the runes look like?"
There are various tutorials from C'tri and there is also the wiki. C'tri's videos are a little more out of date and the wiki is being updated.
When I click something I get the message "The aether cannot find your target" whats that about?
Also is there some sort of tutorial and how do I know what the runes look like?
So, I've been running a runecraft server to test it out before inviting my friends on. I've found that if the player connects with a modded client (in particular, LiteLoader) the energy bar does not show up for that player and the server starts throwing all sorts of exceptions. I'll post the log if it would be of use.
Perhaps of more interest is this: When connecting with a vanilla client, the energy added by throwing things in lava decreases each time you throw something of a type. Not sure if that's intentional, and if it is, why? But the point is, when you connect with a modded client, that decrease doesn't happen.
Anyways, thought I'd report this in case it is of use. Also, for what it's worth, my two cents on the energy system debate is that it's good, but could use waaaay more config options. I'd certainly like to be able to remove that reduction in return, and I'd like to be able to modify the costs for using different types of rune/tool.
@WinMillion20
What operating system are you using?
@WinMillion20
That is odd because I am using the same version on my server and Igniculus and have no issues. From what it looks like, the file did not download fully as it is not finding the path. Try redownloading, if that does not work, we will see. :)
