RPGCraft is a custom RPG plugin I have been working on for over a year now.
I would like to introduce to the community and get some feedback on what you all think.
I want to warn you that this plugin is going to be a "total conversion" type plugin for minecraft. My goal with this is to make a role playing environment when each player can be part of a community and play a role in the minecraft world.
Features at a Glance
- Custom Race Options
- Currency (Coin Drops)
- 4 Distinct Races to choose from. Each with their own pros and cons
- Several tradeskills / professions to take part in. Mining and Farming are complete now.
- Fully overhauled combat system.
- Leveled Mobs
- Attacks and defending blows rely on your skill and include randomness not seen before in Minecraft
- Fully Taken over all Mob spawning, with optimized way to spawn mobs without lagging a server
- Plus much more.

My plan is to get some form of this plugin online for your guys to test very soon.
Requirements
Due to the custom items added in this mod as well as the custom User Interfaces there are some required plugins. My goal is to minimize the required plugins.

Final Notes
I have put a lot of time and dedication into this plugin. My ultimate goal here is to take Minecraft and use it as a Foundation to use for creating a true RPG game with a Minecraft face :)

Not sure if people will see this, but I wanted to make an update on the status of the plugin, and plans, etc...
I am once again in full coding mode and more then ever dedicated to making this THE BEST RPG plugin there is....
I have looked at the competition, and I know I have work ahead of me :)
Anyway... I now have a dedicated domain for RPGCraft.... it is: http://rpgcraft.ca
Please do not confuse my site and plugin with any other rpgcraft domains out there...
I also have begun making the changes needed to be able to release this plugin to other server owners. I had several things hardcoded, such as Race names, restrictions based on race, etc.
For example.... I have a halfling race.... well, the con for being a halfling is that they cannot mine very well, so it was hard coded the halflings cannot use stone or better pick axes...
Anyway.... I hope you guys get to see this.... I will make more posts and get this plugin in a better location for all to see!

Posted Oct 19, 2012This is a very nice idea and has great potential. I am most interested in the race system and would love to have different races fight each other, each having their customizable strengths and weaknesses. Something like the GUILDS plugin, which unfortunately has a ton of bugs and seems to be abandoned, would be amazing.
I can't wait until you release your first build, I am more than happy to help you test it.
