RoyalCommands
RoyalCommands - v4.0.0

NOTICE
Hi. I'm jkcclemens, the author of this plugin. In light of the recent changes in the Minecraft community and in the administration of this website, I will slowly be phasing out support for BukkitDev. Do not despair! This doesn't mean that RoyalCommands is dead. I have set up another site for RoyalCommands, which you can access here. I think the next couple of updates will be uploaded here, but they will all be switched to that site in time. Thank you for your understanding. I look forward to continuing RoyalCommands for the few devoted users out there. :)
RoyalCommands was originally intended to be a small plugin with few commands, but after realizing that I can make many commands from other plugins better, I expanded to make it a large, all-encompassing, general plugin (160+ commands). It will manage your server extremely well. RoyalCommands is my main project, and I add to it quite often. Check for updates often, as it's not uncommon for several new commands to be added quickly. If you have any suggestions or bug reports, post a comment or check out the contact section.
RoyalCommands fully supports VanishNoPacket, a wonderful choice for admin invisibility. Invisible players are not seen in /list, and commands will tell the sender that the vanished player is not online.
RoyalCommands also supports TagAPI, another beautiful creation from mbaxter, which allows plugins to change the name displayed over a player's head. This is used (optionally) for nicknames.

Commands & Permissions
I do not support the use of PermissionEx! RoyalCommands will work with PEX, but I will not offer support if you use it. If you would like to know why, take a look at this document by mbaxter that explains more.
All commands and permissions are listed here.
Note that the dev build commands will be included on that page, though.
When will you update to X?
From 0.2.7 and forward, the whole plugin has been written so that it is forwards-compatible, meaning that there may be no updates for when new versions of Minecraft/CraftBukkit are released. There is no need for a new version, as the current one will work just fine.
Source and Downloads
The source code on GitHub is available with compiling instructions. It follows the GNU GPLv3 license. Please refer to me if you fork it.
Development builds of this project can be acquired at the provided continuous integration server. These builds have not been approved by the BukkitDev staff. Use them at your own risk. Continuous Integration.
The changelog is also available.
Converting
If you're interested in converting from another plugin, please check here. Only CommandBook and Essentials are supported at this time. Others are being worked on, but we need more data to make the converters. If you have data for us to work with, please check out the contact section.
Statistics collection
RoyalCommands utilizes Hidendra's PluginMetrics (MCStats) to collect data on plugin usage. All data that is available to me is also available to you here. All data sent is anonymous and not personal. If you do not want to send data to MCStats, please opt-out in the PluginMetrics folder in your plugins folder.

I've sunk hundreds of hours into writing this plugin. Some of these hours come from managing support tickets, some come from helping people, some come from adding features, and most of them come from bettering the plugin altogether. If you would like to thank me for my efforts, I would appreciate it immensely. If you're unable to send five or ten dollars, then let me know how I'm doing. Feedback means a lot!
If you like the plugin and want to thank me, or if you just want to buy me a Red Bull (or help me pay the bills), consider donating.
Still curious about why you should donate? See drtshock's blog post about the topic. Essentially, public plugin developers (like myself) work for free, attempt to accommodate custom requests, and pour our hearts and souls into our projects, and the server owners that use them rake in profit, and the developers see no share. It's sad.

Hello, great mod. Liking this one better then Essentials so far, only thing I'm wondering about is if there can be a way to turn off the constant console messages showing the Online players. Not even sure if its from your plugin but ever since I installed it its been doing that.
Tempban doesn't work... it whatever I put in it says 42 years 2 months 5 days 1 hour 25 minutes 49 seconds LOL
This plugin doesn't work for me! All the commands and welcome texts work, but there is black screen and can't play because can't see anything. Can't see even the block you use, but can see all the texts you write.
yeah sorry I meant 1.1-R6 I keep saying 1.6 -.-
And it throws an error for me with your 1.4 build, is the 1.2.3 build backwards compatible with 1.1-R6?
Throwing a SEVERE error with 1.6 . Hate to ask, but Update Please? I got rid of 4 other plugins because this handled all of them ^_^
@jkcclemens
Thank you for the help, and thumbs up for temp ban!
I was wondering ... What exact version of Bukkit is 1.2 support for? It does not work on my version, although my version is a development build.
can you make a second /nick command without the [player] argument, such as /nickself to allow people to change their OWN name, but not OTHER
Hello, thank you for a great plugin, I have some suggestions to make it even better.
It seems like this plugin can't use the TooManyItems mod to spawn items, it returns the message "/give [player] [item](:metadata) (amount)" Maybe you could make this work?
Also is it possible to add the option to temp-ban? It would be very useful.
Great work so far, I have switched from essentials to this instead. :) Love all the commands and direction so far was wondering what you might think of the following, or if its even possible.
/help shows a list of commands from so many different plugins or just the rcmds listing atm.
I would love to have the option to override the /help from showing that default /help listing and have it show whats in a file instead like help.txt or help.yml, whatever. Perhaps a config option to use default help: true/false If false then it reads from a help.txt file instead which can have a custom help file?
Would be a nice option, specifically for /help since its a command most new players always seem to be using first. Perhaps a commands file too? Use Commands File: true/false, read from commands.txt Maybe even go step further and have it organize the file line by line like this; group, 'Line X of help file' When user uses /help if they do not at least have that groups permissions they wont see that line.
Just an idea. I am sure its all maybe doable under a different plugin as well. Would just be icing on the nice cake youve made. :)
Shouldn't they be updated even with no new features? I thought all plugins from before R4 have to be re-written to the new code or whatever?
A command similar to http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/openinv/would be awesome. You have other inventory-interfacing commands, or I wouldn't suggest it.
EDIT: Also would you mind terribly updating the rest of your Royal Suite? I'd love the RoyalChat, and I like it when my plugins are from the same devs.
@jkcclemens:
Thank you. I didn't even know there were storms in Minecraft!
@jkcclemens
well. it's calling home to let you know it's running. that's what i meant by "registering itself."
still, would have been a bit nicer to inform your users this was happening, and allowing an opt-out, as many other addons do. maybe i have a reason for not wanting to broadcast that i'm running XXX plugin, but now i have a reason for not wanting to run yours.
Looks like this plugin is trying to phone home and it's failing? Would be nice if you let us know it was (1) trying to register itself, (2) give us an option to opt-out, and (3) fix your tracking service so that it works and doesn't spew errors. Thanks!
Hi, I just got Minecraft a while ago, and decided to get this for my server. I would like to know what all the conditions are for the /weather command are, I can't find them anywhere.
Thanks, Smi'zel
Hey again. I had another thought; perhaps you could put the kit list in a seperate yml file, and add a cooldown time. That way players could have perms to get their own kit, but not very often. Also to auto-give a certain kit to new players. A little more complicated, yet, unique, would be to only allow a player to have a kit once.
@jkcclemens
Thanks!
Could you consider making a way to disable some features? Currently I'm preferring to use a different ban plugin and would like the ban/unban commands to function for it.
Another thing, how can I edit the rules? When I try to make a list of rules using the format that was in the default rules.txt file, I get a "No such page" error. Any tips?
