Residence
About
Residence is different from most protection plugins in that it aims for the users to be able to protect their own homes without having to bother the admin to do it. Residence has support for a variety of different protection types including preventing movement through areas, all of which can be configured by the land owner, and limited by the admin.

- Dynmap Residence - Dynmap plugin that shows residences on the webmap.
- ResExtras - Control snow, ice, animals, mobs, and more within a residence.
- Residence Fly - Controls flying within a residence. Leaving will cause a player to fall.

Posted Jan 12, 2014@DJTomek The plugin is being completely re-written from what I've heard a few weeks ago. The 1.7.2 dev is a pretty long ways away I think. I don't encounter too many issues with the 1.6.2 build on my 1.7 server though.

Posted Jan 9, 2014can i make zones within a protected area. i have a premade city and i want to give houses to players but i don't want them to edit the landscape/building. but i do want them to be able to place things like chests and stuff.

Posted Jan 8, 2014Hello, I'm new to this plugin and would like to know how I can make players be able to rent land from the server. I'm using this for my prison server and I want players to be able to rent a cell from land owned by the server. I also want only the player who has rented the cell to be able to open chests inside the region. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks! That works! Even it is not a real solution, just a workaround (I have not used WorldGuard before, and I prefer to use the less plugins I can), the itemframes trouble is solved!
Also I want to mention that plugin tomskied-prophunt is having troubles with Residence. The console tells me: "Could not pass event PlayerTeleportEvent to Residence v2.6.6.6"

So then the only possible way to do so is, set lavaflow and maybe firespread to false. Your users have to enable this flags. The problem is lava can be placed. If you wish to disable the possibility of placing lava, create a ticket for this or set the bucket flag to false (easiest way).

I had the same problem because there is no setup for rent flags, I know that I solved the problem for myself, but I can't remember how I did this. So don't cry you are not the only one with this problem. I'm pretty sure they will add this to one of the next Residence versions.

Sorry, i did not explain myself. I want to deny placing lava on all the world, but not taking it. And then with flags inside each users residence they can set it to true so they can place lava IN THEIR OWN res. The problem is that the whole flag bucket denies place and take ava into buckets.
