Regios
Current stable version: v5.9.9 for CB 1.6.2-R0.1
Regios, a fully fledged, extensive and extendible Region mod. Regios allows you to easily create regions with a vast amount of properties such as protection, entry & exit control, password protection, speed and health modifiers and much more! Regios is multi-world compatible and lightweight. More so Regios is open source and has a well documented API which will allow other developers to make add-ons to make Regios even better!
NOTE: Regios v5.0.3 and later now REQUIRES Vault for Economy and/or Permissions support. You can still use Regios without Vault but it will be Op or basic superperms only and without economy support.
Do you use Dynmap? Ever wanted to see your Regios regions on Dynmap? Well now you can! Try the new Dynmap-Regios!
Some of the main features of Regios are:
- Complete Region protection.
- Spout GUI editor!
- Permissions and group modification in real-time, force commands and inventory options.
- Prevent exit or entry with password authentication.
- Transfer structures/regions from server to server with new Blueprint (*.blp) files!
- Backup your Regions and restore them to their former states. (Now includes container contents and sign text!)
- API access.
- Fun features such as health control, pvp settings and speed modifiers.
- Per world configurations.
- Default Region settings.
- Simple flat file storage allows for manual editing if needed.
- Universal Economy/Permission support through Vault
- WorldEdit Support

@BinarySpike
1) The maximum height regions can go is determined by the max build height of world you're making the region in. And as far as I know you can't build above 256 anyway, so why would you need regions higher than that?
2) How high are you when you try to make the region? Are you making it close to or at the 256 limit?
3) Sorry, that's my mistake. I'll get it fixed.
4) Well that's embarrassing, I'll get that corrected too.
You mean like a shift command? No, but that's a good idea. I may try to implement that in the next build.
Got some issues, hope it helps.
1) I cannot increase the height of a region past 256.
2) I cannot create poly regions because it says their height is >256 (even though they are at most ~50).
3) Help for expand says: /r expand <region> up/down/north/south/east/west/max/out <value>. Yet '/r expand safezone max' doesn't work. "Invalid direction entered" or "The value for the 2nd paramteter must be an integer!"
4) Spelling error in "paramteter" error message. (see above)
Is there a way to move a region up or down?
@TerraVale
Haha, no offence taken! I actually agree with you, the ol' icon is definitely in need of an update. I've been working on some new design possibilities to replace the current icon when we hit the next major version number (v6). I haven't decided on one yet so I'll add yours in for consideration. Thanks a lot. :D
@johnnyzerox7
Hey there!
I remember using your plugin in the earliest days of my playing of minecraft and hosting a server. I believe Regios really made a difference, and from what I remember, it was very fun to learn (and much less confusing) as opposed to World Guard.
To truly get to the point, I got bored just now. I saw your plugin update. I reminisced. I also, non-offensively, realized how blurry your icon is!
Here's a re-make of it, I didn't really change anything, just made it a ton less blurry, and much more snappy.
If you don't like it, that's perfectly fine! If you want me to tweak something, just send off a message :)
@IdealIdeas
That's a good idea. I hadn't thought about flying outside of creative mode. I'll have to look and see if bukkit provides a check for flying.
Just thought of an idea.
Would it be possible to make a command that when a player flies into a region their flight gets instantly shut off if they are not an OP?
For example, I allow players to fly if they can afford the steep iconomy cost. But this has also turned me off with making dungeons as they can just fly through most of it. So when I protect a region with regios I would love to be able to turn flying off so when they enter the region flight gets completely disabled for them.
@sirmyllox
I'll PM you
@Andyroo654
What part are you having trouble with?
What if all I want is a safe zone at spawn in my server???? SOO COMPLICATED
@johnnyzerox7
Ok, so what needs to be tested? any dev version needed? or do you just want to me to start testing feature by feature and report anything i find?
@ohJey
Can you pastebin me a full error log? That snippet you put isn't enough to identify the issue.
@k2ska
That's the strangest error I've ever seen. I'm not sure that Regios is the problem here, most of that looks like an issue with craftbukkit. Is that the full error?
@martz456
You're a little off, it should be "/r mobspawns <passive/hostile> <region> <t/f>"
@MCFUser5585029
It's a nifty idea, but I'm not sure that's something that falls within the scope of the main Regios plugin. It could probably be done as an add-on though.
@sirmyllox
Hmm, that's a fairly vague error. It's also an error I don't get in 5.9.0. I'll have to dig through the commit history to figure out what line 351 used to be.
@sirmyllox
Actually, I've been thinking of getting some testers together, so yes.

They do it if they can... WAIT for it..
@lucasdidur
It is not dead.
Plugin is dead. Again!
Adamski11s can't handle, and now johnnyzerox7.
A protection plugin is major and important that a server can have, but need to be update and work without a bug, and if found, fixed soon as possible.
@johnnyzerox7
You need any help testing stuff? i suspect you have a lot of testing todo .. let me know if thats the case :)
Now im getting this:
http://pastie.org/4898219
server is running 1.3.2-R1.0 and 5.0.54
I really love this plugin, I used it on a small RPG plugin.
I have one suggestion, allow the editing of mob health/attack/enchant/armour abilitys in certain regions.
E.g
I create a dungeon area, I want certain mobs to have boosted health and attacks. Then I create regions inside the regions were mobs start to spawn with armour and a final room with a boss region which I have set it to have 50 hearts, 25 attack and full iron armour.
If this is possible, I would love for this to be implemented, right now I am fairly limited about what I can do on the RPG server and I would love to be able to do things like this.
I can't disable mob spawning in any regions. "/r mob-spawns Spawn F" isn't working for me. Please help.
All regios what i create is not work. http://pastebin.com/UKNG8bLV
/regios commands not working.
v5.054 for CB 1.2.5-R4.0 Jul 06, 2012 Build Work. v5.9.0 for CB 1.3.1-R2.0 Sep 05, 2012 Not Work.
In dire need of an update!
Im getting: [Severe] Could not pass event EntityDamageByEntityEvent to Regios org.bukkit.event.EventException (and so on)
Mobs are one shotting my players :(
@EMOberger
It only burns forever if it is broken?
@rosirw
Not currently, I am looking at adding support for mysql in the future.
