Hello everybody,
This is Tobias aka Phoenix, the developer of this project. I am sad to inform you that RegionForSale, just like the Bukkit project, is pretty much dead nowadays. I do not like the fact that Minecraft is owned by Microsoft and, even though I respect the company, I cannot see how the spirit of Minecraft fits in there at all. Shame on you for selling, Notch! I do not care about the money involved. But this game, no matter how much profit it generates, belongs into the hands of loving, independent developers (Just like Bukkit – love you guys). My opinion. To be fair: My interest shifted in general as well. So overall, I am not willing to work on this project for free anymore.
Q: What about security updates / bugfixes?
A: I will do my best to still fix those and upload a new version for you. I do not want to let you down.
Q: Will you continue if I donate xx dollar?
A: Probably not. Please try to estimate the time I spend and apply a horrific minimal wage – I am sure you still do not want to pay that. Yes, it’s quite some time.
I still want to thank you very much for the few donations I received up to this point. Developing was fun and I was so very euphoric when I received my first donation. I still remember quite well. Not to forget about the many supportive comments and “thank you”s I received despite the money.
Sincerely,
Phoenix_IV

RegionForSale provides an automatic update checker to let you get informed as soon as a new version is available. If you do not want to use this feature you can set check_for_updates to false in the general.yml config file.
Todo
- Quick-set options on signs
- Give users, who rented a region, the possibility to buy it (without unrenting + possible rebuilding). The other way round would be retarded - Tell me if you don't think so.
- Auto-updater for minor updates (?)

hi Is it possible to see the time remaining rental players as administrator?
thank you
@Phoenix_IV:
any idea on my problem, could you pls fix it? :)
@Phreag
Already on the Todo list. Active development is currently paused.
Could you maybe add the option that rentable regions will be automatically unrented if the one who rented it was not online for x days?
Hey does anyone have the same problem? My parent regions dont save their setting. I did create a WG region and set it as parent (rg addparent city), than i added the child regions. I set the max-regions-rent to 1 and it does work, so users cant buy more than one region. But after a server restart the setting isnt there anymore. It does not save, even if i write it manually in the parent-regions file.
RegionForSale version: 2.5.4 WG version: 6.0.0-SNAPSHOT.1510 CraftBukkit version: git-Spigot-bf0ac55-3fc97ff 1.8
@darkrobin35
Hi, no, that is not possible yet. I can note down your request, but active developing is currently paused.
Is it possible to make it so that the money gained from a region can be put into multiple bank accounts or into the persons account who made the sign. Would be a great feature to add, instead of having all the money going into one account. The server I help run, we have a mall, which that money would go into our main server back, then each town needs to be able to collect the money it gains from selling regions, instead of it also going into the same account that the money from the mall goes into.
@UCOlaf
I am sorry, but I do not understand your question. It looks like you have a problem using the parent-region-system? What do you mean by 'flag'? (RegionForSale does not have any flags. WorldGuard does.)
@catprowler
The amount of money (per unit). rg set price buy 10 -> Region will cost 10$ per Unit. You may also want to change the unit-type for this region to "region" then.
Reference: http://phoenix-iv.de/projects/regionforsale/help/config.yml.htm#economic-settings.unit-type
Hi there, I would like to change the price of a piece of property for sale. When I typed the command rg set price < buy | sell | taxes | rent > value. Could you please tell me what I fill in for the value? Thank you.
if there a way for "rollback" rentable regions like market, but nor for other regions building plots. i dont see any rollback flags for regions
@niftyapple
No, it seems like you've got that permission wrong; regionforsale.sell allows users to sell regions they own. That is also why it defaults to true. regionforsale.admin is the correct permission you are looking for; it does not say "you are server admin", but it says "you are allowed to administer RegionForSale and its regions".
I had to give my moderators regionforsale.admin for them to be able to create regionmarket signs. I thought that regionforsale.sell was a globle default as true? I guess thats what I read from the documentation. Am I going crazy?
@aberts10
Q: How do i set it so that players can break a block?
A: I do not get the question. You will need to be a little more illustrative.
@chapaquente
Hi, didn't you already answered your question yourself? If you want to rent a region for 30 days you put
//rg rent 30d
, if its 30 hours it would berg rent 30h
.@pchard
Q: Can you please make this plugin compatible with Grief Prevention plugin?
A: Sorry, no, thats impossible. Not because I just do not want to, but because WordGuard is a very, very essential part of RegionForSale and adding in Grief Prevention would require me to write a completely new one. There are already buying-plugins for Grief Prevention out there. If you played around with WorldGuard a little it is quite simple, tough.
Hi.
Can you please make this plugin compatible with Grief Prevention plugin??
WorldGuard areas are a pain!
The issue of time to rent still not well explained this, I want to rent for 30 days, then would look like?
rg rent 30d, 12h, 00m, 00s ????????????
How would this line?
Here the error! Thanks
Nevermind, But how do i set it so that players can break a block?
@File14
It is WorldGuard. You could try it out, actually. But thanks for reporting anyway (Please post at WorldGuard).
Hello!
I've found a bug! In the four cornes of the region you can place the Prismarine block. ID: 168 It works with dirt but not that block. Please fix this. I'm not sure if it is with this plugin or with World Guard.
Helllo
Update days please with the ability to right click on the sign to buy or rent
Thanks
@Audrerose69
Q: Is it possible to change the time for renting?
A: You can change the general rent-withdraw interval in the general.yml - it applies for all regions and only affects the server-wide standard about how long a "rent interval" is supposed to be. The timer in the region info only indicates the time until the next withdrawal. You can also set a "max rent time" for each single region. If a max rent timer is set you will see a second timer in the region info, indicating the overall rent expiry.
@huntershenep
Repeating Audrerose69's answer: You can change the price (as well as the unit type) for each region individually if you want to. That "one single setting" in the config.yml only makes life easier if all your regions follow a scheme. Read the plugin documentation.
