RedstoneCommandSigns
This plugin addresses a common request from people using SimpleCommandSigns. Redstone can now trigger commandsigns.
Features:
- SimpleCommandSigns or HiddenCommandSigns can be converted into RedstoneCommandSigns.
- RedstoneCommandSigns run command(s) upon being powered by redstone.
- No configuration necessary.
- Permissions (Permissions 2.x, 3.x, and Bukkit SuperPerms support)
How-To:
- Create a simplecommandsign.
- Type: /rcs
- Left click the simplecommandsign. (First line changes from green to red)
- When the sign is powered, the command will run.
Command:
- /rcs - Create a redstonecommandsign.
Permission node:
- rcs.create: Can create a redstone command sign.
Why is this a separate plugin?:
- Redstone is not a player. Thus permissions cannot be checked on commandsign trigger.
- Command sequences are handled by HiddenCommandSigns.
- SimpleCommandSigns was made to be as lightweight as possible.
- This plugin runs in parallel to the other plugins.
Notes:
- Because the player who triggers the sign is never identified, the %p identifier that was available in SimpleCommandSigns and HiddenCommandSigns will not work.
- Commands are run as the console. Be conscious about what command you have them run.
- Any permissions added to a HiddenCommandSign will be completely ignored by a RedstoneCommandSign.
@Briggy_Bros
Sounds like an epic idea. If you search for it and can't find it, I'll make it.
@yurikoma
Yea that's all about how the other plugins is handling the command.
@houba1970
So it doesn't work with the latest CB?
Please uppdate it
Is there a plugin opposite to this which triggers redstone when a command is issued?
lol i keep egttign the error this command is only avaliable to players! kinda sucks, casue im trying to get it to spawn a pig :P
Tested again on R1 Bukkit, just the simple one with right click works, when u turn red (with /rcs command) a sign to use it with redstone stops working.
Don't works on R1, u need to update it :3

Sorry, I totally missed your comment. Just do as Paul_G said :)
@Paul_G
Thanks for helping when I missed it XD

Hi, just wanted to see if I could help. So first off, make sure you've done /rcs and clicked on the Simple Command Sign. I forgot to do this at first so don't feel stupid if you did. :P Then the [SCS] at the top of the sign should turn red. Now try applying redstone. Secondly, make sure you're running a valid command. Hope this helps!
P.S. I'm running the 1.2.4 Recommended build and it's working fine for me.
This is a great idea and a great mod - it would be really handy in the dungeons we're developing. We're thinking of putting the worldedit butcher sign behind a button which can only be re-pressed after a certain amount of time as a 'get out of jail' type button.
This plugin isn't working for me in Bukkit 1.2.4 #2117. The console gives no errors, the signs just don't activate with the several different methods of activation I tried. Is this version compatible with 1.2.4?
I have scs and hcs installed and they are both working fine.
@Doctor06
Uh.. Permissions shouldn't change anything.
i am trying to power my sign with redstone but its not working. is it because im using group manager?
@icheesy
You realize that the sign needs to be powered by redstone... And that with redstone, the person who activated it cannot be tracked...
You'd be best served using SimpleCommandSigns itself.
Err it doesn't work. http://i.imgur.com/9sS6B.png proof ^ No errors on console.
