Realistic Backpacks
Realistic Backpacks is a plugin not similar to the other backpack/inventory extending plugins, but a unique experience. Backpacks are represented by a configurable item, not virtual commands. They also will give realistic features of what a backpack would give upon a user in real life, including slowed movement, increased need for hunger, and others. Of course, all of these features are customizable and can be turned off. If you just want backpacks that are opened via items and not commands and nothing else, then this plugin is also for you.
Features:
- Full customization of almost all features
- Lightweight as possible
- Flatfile and MySQL support

Can you send me the update?
Having an issue with the config clearing if new backpacks are added. I do not know if this is because there is a error in the spacing in the config on my part or not.
Craftbukkit 1.7.9 (1.7.10 MC) Ro 2
Realisticbackpacks v 1.6.4
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@DrkMatr1984
I'm actually working on updating this from your source on Github. I'll send a pull request through for you to review when I'm done. I initially mavenized the project but I don't feel like doing all the extra module work to make it support any version with Maven, so I'm going to revert that and update it normally.
@slayr288
U should be able to, It includes the latest version of Craftbukkit inside the jar. Should just be able to import spigot or craftbukkit as long as you have the spigot jar in the build path.
@Shado47
can I compile with spigot?
the latest github build works completely well on spigot 1.8
AT least update this to 1.7.10..?? great program.. ...update update
Can't get permissions to work. I use Groupmanager and Spigot 1.8 and i need to forbid using backpacks in a creative world.
I do highly enjoy this plugin along with its setup regarding permissions. It works well, but throws an exception when players right click to open their backpacks. If this could be updated to 1.8 I would highly appreciate it as the players love it!
Question: what makes this better than "Better Backpacks"? My players enjoy the crafting and trading etc of backpacks, does this do anything different that would be worth the switch?
Also, to inform everyone: the legal issues with Mojang regarding CraftBukkit release is a moot point these days. Spigot has taken over full development. I suppose you can call it a branch, but they have a full Bukkit API and Spigot API. That means there is a CraftBukkit.jar and Spigot.jar that are both separate, as Spigot is a modded Bukkit (always has been, this doesn't change anything).
Also the issues with Bukkit legally have to do with GPL violation, not all that other nonsense You cannot...CANNOT distribute any closed source software with a GPL licensed piece of software. To clear this up, you can use proprietary software with GPL, you just can't distribute it that way.
Had Bukkit given instructions to "how to combine bukkit API and server JAR" this whole thing never would have happened, but at the same time I'm sure there would be far fewer servers if people had to assemble it themselves.
I use this on my network all the time, I have since 1.7.2. It works fine in 1.8, except it throws an exception here and there, but all features are fully functional. I love this plugin!

@slayr288
even if bukkit dies off, there's other APIs that will support bukkit plugins and many people still use spigot.
need update with custom texture,
No one has copyrighted Bukkit, one of the old devs got mad at Mojang for making the Minecraft EULA less strict and he issued an invalid DMCA against Bukkit after Mojang prevented his sabotage of Bukkit by other means, but the US legal system is slow and expensive.
I would fix this but apparently someone copyrighted bukkit so it's not worth it I guess
works 99% correct on Version 1.7.9 only the Keep Function Needs an update for me :D
UPDATE!
This works on cb1.7.9-r0.2?
Ok so far the plugin seems to function normaly exept from the glow.
I previously added the whitelist thing for items with lore so maybe I can update the plugin. I don't promise I fix everything but maybe the things I use for my server.
@slayr288
I noticed you logged in just the other day!! Please provide an update on if/when you will be updating this plugin. If you are abandoning this project, please find someone to replace you. This is the best backpack plugin out there.
I have created a ton of backpacks for my server to use. I haven't opened my server yet, so I have not experienced the errors listed below, but I can craft them all just fine. I did notice today that the glow effect isn't working anymore and it was working before 1.7.9.
Thank you!
