RankMeUp
With this plugin, players can with 1 command use money to go up one rank.
This plugin needs the following 3 plugins installed:
- Permissions (Any permissions plugin supported by Vault (Group Manager seems to only work on some servers), preferably bPermissions)
- Vault
- Economy (Any supported by Vault and (important) Vault's bank feature!)
It will not work without those 3 plugins!
The ranking system is based on the tracks.yml file in the bPermissions folder, or by default the tracks.yml file in your RankMeUp plugin folder. Each time a new rank is bought, the player is promoted to the next rank in that file.
In the plugins config file (config.yml), you can set a default cost for players to pay when they wanna rank up. If you wanna be more precise on some of the ranks, or all the ranks, you can give each rank a custom price under 'costs'. Under 'costs' just simply put the rank name, followed by the price. The ranks not defined, will use the default cost. Set "useOwnTrack" to false, if you use bPermissions, as it allows you to use the tracks.yml file in the bPermissions plugin folder instead.
The plugin have 3 command (with a shortcut command).
- /RankMeUp - Will rank up the player saying it if he has enough money
- /RankMeUp next - Will show how much money you have, and how much more you need
- /RankMeUp player <player> - Will rank up the desired player without using any money
- /RankMeUp help - Will show you the commands with a short description
The shortcut command is /RMU
To allow players to use the RankMeUp command, give them the following permission node:
rankmeup.rankmeup
To allow admins to rank up players without using any money, give them the following permission node:
rankmeup.admin
If you have any questions, please comment or PM me!
This plugin is properbly gonna remain as simple as this, because some people only want this features, and not all the extra stuff.
@JackGameer
Did you install the latest version of Vault?
@Madsens90
Craftbukkit 1.3.1-R0.1 #2268
Edit:
Updated too Craftbukkit 1.3.1-R1.0 and the command works, Thought it You're not in a group allowed too rank up.
I've changed the config so they should be allowed.
Edit2: Looked in my logs and found this
@JackGameer
Hello there. What version of CraftBukkit are you using?
Hello, I cannot get this working on my server, I have it installed and typing /rankup it just does nothing.
I have iConomy and i'm using PermissionsEX.
@ZackBlazes
As promised i just tested RankMeUp on a brand new server, with the newest CraftBukit, Vault, Iconomy 6 and bPermissions, and it works just fine! :)
Please look at your stuff again, and tell me if you need help setting it up. If your using GroupMananger as permissions plugin, please do not use my plugin, as they do not work properly together!
@ZackBlazes
I will look at it today! :-)
PLEASE UPDATE THIS TO 1.3.1!!!
@Darrennick
Are you sure its not Vault thats is the problem, or your permissions or economy system?
Latest version doesnt work with 1.3.1 RB
@Madsens90
ok well i guess im converting to bpermissions thanks though!
@xxangel17xx
Sry, i don't know why. :S
@RitzCraKrz
yes. Group Manager does not work properly with this plugin.
I got this for my drug server and i got it all set up and everything but for some reason it only recognizes the first 3 ranks is it because i use group manager.
@Madsens90 i have rankmeup v0.5 and i did as you said but it keeps giving me the same error.
@xxangel17xx
are you using the latest version of RMU? This used to be an old bug.
@BballxStar
If you delete your tracks.yml file, and restart the server, you will get the default tracks.yml file again. Please let the "default:" stay at the top, and only edit the ranks and costs below :) I don't think i will make a video about that :D
i keep geting an error when doing the comand /rmu This is the error
can u make a video on how to do it haha that might be easier im a visual learner:)
ok so in the track i have those ranks im using going up and down. Then I save and run and noghthing. what do i do with the other file i dont get that one????
@BballxStar
I'm not sure what you mean by that, but remember to have the "default:" at the top! :)
in the track it will look like - E - D - C - B - A - V - W - X - Y - Z Just going up and won
@BballxStar
Okay. You gotta add the permissions "rankmeup.rankmeup" to those players allowed to rank up.
Then edit your tracks.yml file in the RankMeUp folder. Theres an already existing example in the file. Save the file and restart the server, then you should be good to go.
