What steps will reproduce the problem?
1./rankup

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

this is how look like my permissionex after I rankup

    - vagabond
    - visiteur

i was "visiteur" first but when i use /rankup i became "vagabond" but on my permissions files both group are here i just want the last group not all the groups please

What version of the product are you using? the last for 1.7.9 and the last for vault too

Do you have an error log of what happened? no error

I'm running into the exact same issue - and once it does that PEX detects a possible circular reference because of the two groups (which both inherit from the same base) and starts spitting out warnings all over the console.

I hope someone has a solution that can help... If I find a configuration tweak that works I will post an update here for everyone who needs it.
