Random Teleport
Random Teleport
Random Teleport is a simple, lightweight plugin that allows players to use a command, or button and sign to teleport them randomly to the wild based on the preferences in the config.yml!
Description
Random Teleport allows users (with the proper permission) to easily teleport into the wild with one simple command! Despite RandomTP's competitors, this plugin allows you to fully configure the plugin to your own desire! With implementation both command or sign, it's easy to let new players know that they can get to the wild easily! No more /warp wild and having that location constantly griefed, each location is randomized per player!
Installation
Simply drag RandomTP.jar into your plugins folder and reload / restart your server. The configuration file will be automatically generated.
Commands
Command | Aliases | Description |
---|---|---|
/randomtp | rtp | Teleports you to a random location in your world if it is configured with RandomTeleport. |
Permissions
Permission | Description |
---|---|
randomtp.tp | Gives permission to use /randomtp |
randomtp.signs.use | Gives permission to use signs |
randomtp.signs.create | Gives permission to create signs |
How to use signs
RandomTP utilizes signs in an entirely new way! Instead of having buttons and signs, it's purely just signs now! The sign setup should be as follows:
Line 1: [RandomTP]
Line 2: World name (i.e world, MyWorld, world_nether, etc)

Hi Dpasi,
Thanks for the great plugin.
Any chance of integrating this with essentials /back? Or even just a tpback command of your own would be great.
works great on 1.7.9 however when you teleport in end world as it is just a sphere in a void, you teleport into the void and die.. is there a way to prevent this?
Working great with Bukkit 1.74 R2

As a user, it's their responsibility to keep their equipment up to date. If I want EVERYONE to have access to my plugin, then ALL developers should be compiling against 1.5. We're already in Java 8, we need to start moving with the rest of the world.
@Dpasi314
Actually a bunch of servers, linux servers, are stuck with 1.6. You compiling to 1.6 wont have any negative effects. As developers, it is our responsibility to make sure that anyone can use our plugins.
@Dpasi314 Plugin seems to be giving me errors, [07:35:30] [Server thread/INFO]: freddperry issued server command: /rtp [07:35:30] [Server thread/ERROR]: null org.bukkit.command.CommandException: Unhandled exception executing command 'rtp' in plugin RandomTeleport vmaven-version-number at org.bukkit.command.PluginCommand.execute(PluginCommand.java:46) [minecraft_server.jar:git-Spigot-1487] at org.bukkit.command.SimpleCommandMap.dispatch(SimpleCommandMap.java:180) [minecraft_server.jar:git-Spigot-1487] at org.bukkit.craftbukkit.v1_7_R3.CraftServer.dispatchCommand(CraftServer.java:726) [minecraft_server.jar:git-Spigot-1487] at net.minecraft.server.v1_7_R3.PlayerConnection.handleCommand(PlayerConnection.java:999) [minecraft_server.jar:git-Spigot-1487] at net.minecraft.server.v1_7_R3.PlayerConnection.a(PlayerConnection.java:830) [minecraft_server.jar:git-Spigot-1487] at net.minecraft.server.v1_7_R3.PacketPlayInChat.a(PacketPlayInChat.java:28) [minecraft_server.jar:git-Spigot-1487] at net.minecraft.server.v1_7_R3.PacketPlayInChat.handle(PacketPlayInChat.java:65) [minecraft_server.jar:git-Spigot-1487] at net.minecraft.server.v1_7_R3.NetworkManager.a(NetworkManager.java:180) [minecraft_server.jar:git-Spigot-1487] at net.minecraft.server.v1_7_R3.ServerConnection.c(ServerConnection.java:81) [minecraft_server.jar:git-Spigot-1487]
That happens on both spigot and bukkit
@MrAwellstein
Most developers are already compiling in Java 8. Me compiling in Java 7 is just fine, you should update your server to Java 7 because that's the way the rest of the Minecraft world is going.

You should compile your plugin in java 1.6
@adonuchiha
That's not helpful, If you want anything done I need a stacktrace from Console in order to fix any problem you may be having.
Dpasi314, I just downloaded your plugin today and only I am able to use the plugin on the server that I help run. Can you help me out? Other people are saying Internal Error.
@TheHydrogen401
The minimum range would be 0, but that would probably throw an error, so I'd say 1.
It says "MAX" so what is the minimal range? Just curious
@johandre
You don't put in a negative coordinate. Negative coords are automatically, and randomly generated,
How to insert a - in the config so you can insert "-(cord)" in the config?
@iPikachua
The 1.7.2 permission SHOULD be
Im having a problem... my server is 1.7.2, the permission randomtp.tp doesnt works.. im using pex btw
@Wargasm22
That is not helpful to me. Please provide a stacktrace if you want any action to be taken.
@erik1988
You can definitely see this in update 4.1.x!!
This plugin is only working like half of the time on my server... like it works for some people but not for others... the error that comes up says "An internal error occurred while attempting to perform this command."
Can you make it so its possible to randomized predefine warps?
For instance if you write: /randomwarp A
It randomly pickes a warp that is defined in the list under "A". I would also prefere that this would work with essentials warps.
Thanks.
@Usa_Rox_All
There will be a fix for this in the next version, I've tested it myself and it works.
