I would like this to be able to either work along side a decent NPC plugin, or have npc’s as part of the plugin. It would allow players to talk to someone, so they aren’t looking at external notes or hopping to a website to find out where to go or what to do.
For Example: I walk up to a scholar standing next to a bedrock pedestal, the following dialog insures:
Scholar1: Oh no! The Books have been stolen and taken to the spawn city! You must get them back from: Apprentice_wizard![Quest Started] Find the Books!
In that context you would be able to have a bedrock block with a chest on top next to where the NPC is standing. It would simply allow players to visit a specific city or NPC to allow them to continue the quest without asking where notes or, or what part of a page to look at.
Here is an example:
[Barber]: Hello! I need you to pick up some shears from the farm outside the city! From: Steven_the_Farmer Type /quest accept 68 (or what the command is to accept a quest) to Begin![Quest Started]: Scissors we need!
I walk outside to city to the farm and find the PNC called StevenI right click the Npc[Steven_the_Farmer] Oh hello! You must be here for the shears! Ere’ we are![Quest] You picked up the shears! Return to the Barber inside the city!
I return there:
Right click the Barber[Barber] Thank you very much! Here is your reward![Quest] $30 has been added to you Balance[Quest Complete] Scissors we need!
and of course this is all configurable
You can "force" the player to go somewhere to complete a quest. It does not always work and is unreliable without good antigrief or good players.
Basically you make the quest onStart message be like this:
In a hut made of birch, west of the spawn, there is an item on display. Find the item somewhere else and place it in my hut.
This quest works best without repeats.
