PvP Control
Everybody knows the griefer that destroys or places blocks, but PvP griefing is a big issue too. They prevent players from exploring the wilderness and prevents newcomers from enjoying the server. Even setting up non-PvP areas like cities does not fix the problem. So what does fix the problem? This plugin.
This plugin lets players turn on PvP for themselves. Once two combatants turn on PvP, they can battle it out. Otherwise, players cannot be damaged by others. No more sneak attacks from griefers who only want to make your life miserable. Players will never feel outmatched again.
This plugin is currently going under some MAJOR code changes and feature updates. Feel free to get the source here or check out an older version at this forum thread, but I cannot guarantee that it will work properly. I am close to having v2.0 finished, so check out here for my release jar.
Ok, I've neglected this plugin for long enough. Being the first plugin I ever made, PvP Control had the most feature requests that I wasn't able to implement quickly. I planned a 2.0 update, and almost finished the code too. I am willing to finish the code (as I am quite close), but I understand that there's a lot of this sort of plugin. If there's still interest, I will finish this, but otherwise, I will delete this.
@CoolOppo
It will definitely NOT be the same. Thanks for point that one out, though. I remember back when I had issues with SafePvP :P, and I'll make sure It's different from PvP Toggle (probably in how it deals with multiworlds :P). To know what I plan on doing with this, check out This list of planned features.
Don't make this, it's already available: http://dev.bukkit.org/server-mods/pvptoggle/
I really really need that plugin
@Dannne11
I would, except that model has two problems. 1) I (personally) have issues with limiting players to change PvP status. It's a personal grievance, but it's still a valid issues. 2) setting it up by login would be problematic. Along with some players being on for longer periods, players may also just relog so they can change it again. With 2.0, I will have a cool down where players will have to wait a certain amount of time before they can switch back, which should be a better way to do what you're requesting
Great! But could you add a so i can change how many times you can change betwen pvp and non pvp. So for example you can only change it once per login. If you know what i mean. Sorry for my bad english XD
