Name: Promotion (Previously known as RankUp)
Version: 1.0
A continuing work on toalec Rankup plugin ( Rankup plugin ). The base functionality is the ability for users on the server to switch permission group through Signs/Chat/Commands. You are able to configure transitions between groups from configuration.
The first version is planned to handle the base functionality of Rankup with support for latest PermissionsEx at Release. The commands will stay the same as RankUp Commands so that users of RankUp will be able to use Promotion the same way. The config.yml file will also look the same.
As an example your users on the servers are able to type a magical word in the chat like "MakeMeAdmin" and your permissions are updated. Or that new players on your servers right-click a sign to become members. It is also possible to use this to promote quest based permissions and more.
With the first release also comes functionality connected to mcMMO where you can set mcMMO levels so that you atomatically switch rank when you reach that level.

- Supports PermissionsEx (permissionsBukkit not tested but code is there)
- The target player of /rankup <player> does not have to be online(They have to have alteast logged in once though)
- Easy to set up using commands from in-game or the console(which uses the same commands but without the /).
- Supports multiple packages
- Supports promotions based on mcMMO level.
Currently developed with Bukkit 1.2.5 R1.0 and latest build of PermissionsEx/mcMMO

Posted Sep 2, 2014Hey, so the server that I am helping create is based around a simple theme... you choose your own team! I was wondering if this plugin has the feature of being able to pick more than one team, and if you can please elaborate how this is done. If this plugin does not currently have this feature, could you please link me to another plugin where you can choose your own team? My biggest preference would have the ability to just do /Hades and join the Hades team, but that is not mandatory... I just need something along those lines. Thank you for your time and please respond as soon as you can because we have been waiting and looking for something like this!

Posted Jun 17, 2013@poobis Poobis, I am using permissionsex and in the format you have each group with the the permissions that goes with each..so the ranks listed below are newbie and resident...which are the group names...spacing is not shown correctly in the preview

Posted Jun 16, 2013how do I tie in a command to rank up....
the default group in our server will be "newbie"... once they use the command /rg claim or use a sign to rent or buy.. they go to the next group "resident"
so how do I tie in the ingame command to being able to rank up...
lets use the /rg claim command....

The ranks themselves are from your permission plugin so that depends on what plugin you use.

Posted Mar 21, 2013Hello again, I made this plugin just to satisfy my own needs a while back and wanted to share it. Again I have some needs for this so I will make an update for 1.5.1. I am not sure what extra features I will add (like use Vault for economy). This since I have the specific need of MCMMO and Permissionsex. But if I have some extra time I will fix some. At the moment I am waiting for PermissionsEx to be updated to 1.5.1 since I use the modifyworld with this plugin and Modifyworld does not seem to work in 1.5. So hopefully within a week or 2.

Posted Mar 20, 2013I have tried 7 of these plugins.. 2 did not have the right commands... 3 did not work at all... 1 was so complicated only a person with a masters degree in programming would even start to understand it... the final one.. works amazing perfectly awesome... and it is this one

1.) If someone is in the default group, it can't detect it.
2.) It's not actually changing their groups. It says "Your group has been successfully changed to blah" but nothing is actually run in the console. Using PermissionsBukkit.

It gives me an disturbing error eveytime someone levels up in mcmmo and when you got some players you are spammed with errors, otherwise than that great plugin!

I'm having a problem with this. It is giving an error that it can't connect to McMMO.
Could you please create a version of the plugin for me without any McMMO related to it? Because I don't use that feature, but it's still giving me errors.
