Townships
If you want players to be able to build outside of regions, then remove EffectWilderness.jar
I renamed HeroStronghold to Townships. It has a lot more features, so I'll be updating this page over time. For now, use the sample configs that come with the plugin as an example.
Townships is the best Town plugin out there because you can require players to have houses, forges, farms, inns, hospitals, etc before they can create a town!
If you dont think minecraft is addicting enough, what about minecraft tycoon? What if you could make structures that cost money, but give you items/money over time? That's exactly what this plugin does! I imagined using this plugin as a way to reward players for building certain strutures/shrines, but it has evolved so that you can configure it to include any structure/town you want!
For instance, if a player builds a bank using certain blocks (defined in your config.yml) and has enough money, that player can type /to create bank and it will turn the bank into a Townships that, if provided the correct raw materials (paper and gold for example), can give you a steady income! The possibilities are limitless because you define the types of structures players can create in regions.yml.
Also introducing Super-Regions! Basically, super-regions are regions that require regions instead of blocks. This way you can make a super-region called Town that requires regions such as Houses, Inns, Taverns, Farms, etc. Super-regions come with their own banks, chat channels, per-user permissions, taxes, and power.
Also, this plugin hooks into Heroes so you can grant buffs and debuffs to players near your structure. For example you can build a LightningRod that grants your Heroes class name LightningMage a passive health regen buff. Work in progress Effects List.

Features:
- Allows permitted players to create Townships using certain blocks/money defined in config.yml
- Townships grant money/items during every cycle (cycle length defined in config.yml)
- Townships cost items/money to maintain during every cycle
- Townships can be destroyed (and even explode!) if key blocks are broken
- Townships can also grant nearby Heroes passive buffs/debuffs
- Townships can also grant build protection
- Effect List work in progress
- Super-regions which require other regions instead of blocks. So you could create a super-Townships called "Town", which requires Townships like "Inn", "Farm", a few "House", etc.
- Banks for super-regions
- Separate chat channels for each super-region
- Taxes for super-regions
- Power for super-regions (if a member dies, then their super-regions lose 1 power each. If a super-region reaches 0 power, then it is destroyed).

- Wars!
- Limit the number of regions players can build with groups.yml
- Biome specific regions

- townships.create.<type> lets you create a township of that type
- townships.admin lets you bypass townships ownership checks

I tried that. HS told me I do not have any money. I am unable to start towns or build anything that requires money.

If you do /money it says you have 2000?
Your town bank is different than your bank. You can see your town bank balance with /hs who <townname>. You can deposit/withdraw with /hs deposit <amount> <townname> and /hs withdraw <amount> <townname>.

ah i think i see the issue, the pig farm data was taken/opied from the original config that was generated when the plugin loads and that was what we thought had to be altered to add your own buildings. we had was:
so wasnt working at all. when the classes section was removed it works now.

i having trouble getting pigs to spawn in a pigfarm. where exactly does the "perodicfarm.2" effect get placed. is it under the effects section alogn with the scheduledupkeep which we have alraedy there or does it go under the out put or what?.
I'm coming out with a new effect called conveyorbelt. It makes it possible to automatically move items from one region to another using storage minecarts. May require a plugin to keep chunks loaded in memory for minecarts (needs more testing). I promise I'll make videos when I release this one.

To everyone looking to get an awesome Hero Stronghold set up quickly you can whisper me for my own made config
Features:
- 3 separate Styles of Village: Wood, Stone, and Treetop in a basic setup that you can use out of the box or as a starter for grander things.
- Balanced resource gathering, an economy boost without to many free handouts.
- Can be your primary Econ money source
- GUI CREATOR MENU Create all buildings and villages without typing a single command! (requires GUI CREATOR and SPOUT plugins)(( great for simple users :)))
- Permissions Skill (for heroes) config that means your users will only be able to build their own type of village and see the relevent menu for it!
- Better Alias (plugin) config to allow multi commands to be done easier or with the gui menu
I'l upload all these configs as a bundle at some point (and id appreciate it) if somone could tell me a good free file host that i can use here.

It's not possible to use non-vanilla items without me directly hooking into the mods you're using to create these items.
I could add rare upkeep-output stuff in the config. I'll add that to the feature-request forum.

charter: 10 means you need to do /hs charter <super-region-type> <name> (/hs charter village myvillage). Then you need 9 other people to type /hs signcharter <name> (/hs signcharter myvillage). basically it's a way of requiring more than one person to start a super-region.
Most of those feature requests are already requested, but between my server, my fulltime job, and my other plugins, I have barely any time to add these features. I'll get around to it soon.

Very cool plugin and it looks like it is going to be added to our server but i did have a couple of questions..
Firstly.. Is the list of vanilla items the only items available to add to the buildings config, would it be possible to use any mod items?? for example if there was a bakery but if a server had pams mods with all the extra food there would be a huge list of food on the server but only able to produce bread or cakes in the bakery.
Secondly.. is it possible to set different upkeep for different items? for example if you had a mining camp but wanted to add a cobblestone block as a standard item but a rare item of iron or coal?
Can we get a disabled worlds feature in the config please? i want this in my pvp world but not my pve worlds. Looking forward to hearing a response!
Hi, sorry for this question, but ive not found what mean the "charter: 10" in super-region.yml. What it does please ? Nice plugin btw, a kind long to config how i wanted it, but a lot of features, nice ! If it has more effects for pvp fight, it will be sooo cool ;) Why not adding potion effects ? like tower that slow ennemy, blind it or poison it, create web wall or simply turn ground into soulsand... Well its some ideas i had lol You are the boss ;) And u say it is possible to see who enter in a region ? How to ? :o Ty !

It's possible for regions, but it's harder for super-regions. Currently there is no check for player locations in regards to super-regions. I'll add it to the feature request forum.
I love this plugin. It's a lot more simpler and less complicated than factions and towny. I love it gives players a basis to create their homes, and still customizable by server admins. I want to ask if there is a way to make a message appear whenever a player enters a stronghold. Not for every single one, but just shacks, houses, towns etc.
Multi, I think you are my most favorite person in the world! First, all your heroes innovation, and now, you do the ONE thing I have been hurting for since I started my Bukkit server a year and a half ago: Attemting a merge of Towny and Factions. This is the epitome of Epic, IMHO!

I've introduced a war feature to make it so you can have a hybrid of Towny and Factions. I'll release it in the next build as soon as I fix the bugs.

No, you can define everything in the region.yml and super-region.yml (what blocks are required, what buildings they can make, and what they can do).
