This issue is regarding the porteCoulissante test server.

Currently I spawn in the guest hotel/building with the guest rooms.

However none of the doors work. When I open them they appear open on my client, but attempting to walk through them teleports me back. Basically I don't have permission to use doors as the default group.

This effectively means that I cannot test anything on this server, since I'm stuck inside a tiny two story house.

Yes, I have heard of this problem from other people. It's quite bizarre. Somehow, some people can't open doors inside the spawn protection area. The client thinks the door has opened, but somehow the door has not opened on the server so if you try to go through it yanks you back. It's a bug in Minecraft or CraftBukkit, not a genuine permissions issue.

I'd like to get to the bottom of this, but unfortunately it only happens to a tiny subset of people, not including me. Can you give me as much detail as possible about the situation?

• Does it happen every time you log in?
• Exactly which version of the Minecraft client are you using?
• Have you installed any mods?
• Which operating system (including version and bitness) do you use?
• Which version of Java have you installed?

You may be able to resolve the situation by using the /kill command. Hopefully you will then spawn outside of the inn. Let me know if that works.

There have been a few releases of Bukkit and Minecraft in the meantime, so perhaps the problem has resolved itself. Could you try again and let me know if the problem persists? If not, or if I don't hear from you, I'm going to close the ticket.
